Milan Get Another Gunner
Reports in Italy today suggest that Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is close to securing a season-long loan move to Italian giants AC Milan.
The loan, which will see Swiss international Senderos reunite with ex-Gunners’ team-mate Mathieu Flamini, has an option to make the switch permanent which could come into place if the 23-year-old impresses during his spell with the Rossoneri.
Milan have been chasing several Arsenal players since the signing of Mathieu Flamini. Emmanuel Adebayor was strongly linked to a move to the San Siro over the summer, but he finally signed a new Arsenal deal in August.
Arsenal are yet to confirm a deal is done with Senderos, while another Swiss defender, Johan Djourou is still rumoured to be on French side Rennes’ shopping list. Djourou’s departure seems unlikely though, as Arsene Wenger has already let up and coming defender Havard Nordtveit go out on loan.
Last season, Senderos was blamed for some slacking marking that allowed Liverpool to beat the Gunners in the Champions League. Criticised in the press, the Swiss defender took time to recover, although was able to play an important part in Switzerland’s unsuccessful Euro 2008 campaign.
Gooner Talk would like to wish Big Phil a successful spell with AC Milan, and hope to see him impressing for the Italian stars in the near future.

I'd prefer him to stick around till better quality comes through, such as Nordveidt.

I can't believe it. It's like Wenger has given up on him finally. I think he can be very but he may now see more in Song and Djourou, and not forgetting Silvestre who may link up with Gallas. I have been unimpressed by Toure after Campbell has left as it seems he needs someone that is different from him. I feel Gallas has been better than him but has been scrutinized more because of the Bingham match.
Oh yeah on Inler, after the Twente game Mr Wenger said he will sign someone before the next twente game but now says he is not close to anyone implying that whoever he tried to sign has now cooled off. I am hoping we sign someone he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and signs someone no-one has mentioned as I am getting tired of people debating who is better. If not I trust Diaby and Song who will get his chance on Wednesday.

Well we've spent near 20 mil for the past two seasons. This season we spent before selling though we knew Hleb was leaving, last season we knew Henry would leave. I think we have some money but this includes wages as well.

I think Fulham didn't play that brilliant. I think the way arsenal played anyone could have won. Nothing was coming from the centre from Eboue and especially Denilson. He never made a telling pass upfield. We lack balance, creativity and defensive cover from midfielders at the mo.

I think Diaby would be the best option we have and is getting better. I think Song is okay and is also getting better but can shore up the midfield. We have got a kindish start to the Prem so hopefully it shouldn't pay.

Last season we played some of the best footy I had ever seen. He turned us into a great team and we're still going strong. I wonder where we would have been if he hadn't got wenger. I think we may have been brought out by a takeover but it is nothing compared to what kind of football we play. I agree there are a lot more passes as we have more central players now but it is beautiful.
We do not have Hleb and Fabregas in the team, thats why there is no penetration in the team. With the return of Rosicky, it should fill the Hleb void somewhat, but when will he be back
