Bendtner & van Persie Sustain Minor Knocks

Arsenal forwards Nicklas Bendtner and Robin van Persie have sustained injuries whilst on International duty for their respective countries.
Danish striker Bendtner has sprained his ankle, and Denmark national team Doctor Soren Kaalund believes it’s too earlier to predict how long the 21-year-old will be out for.
“He has sprained his left ankle, and it affects the outer ligaments. There is nothing broken, but the ankle is closed. Now we have to see how he reacts to the damage the next day time, and therefore the extent of the damage will only become clear to us over the next 24 hours” Kaalund told Sporten.dk
Robin van Persie also sat out Holland’s training session in Noordwijk because of a foot injury.
Holland coach Bert van Marwijk will lead his team into his first competitive game in charge next Wednesday when they face Macedonia in a World Cup qualifier.
Before that match, they face Australia in a friendly on Saturday, although Van Persie is expected to be fit.

Looks like Vela could get a run out up-front then?
Vela isn't a bad replacement at all. I hope and expect him to take his chance when it comes along.
Probably.
Vela is also on international duty, so fingers crossed he doesn't come back with a knock.
I hope neither are out for long but it looks a lot worse for Bendtner. Players shouldn't be permitted to go on duty is they are injured. Im sure Holland can Survive without RvP for a game or two. If he gets injured for us he is out for weeks whereas his country only need him once every few months. Its just not fair.
What's new, RVP gets injured when he just hits form
oh crap. rvp injured again…hope both of them arent out for that long.
god bless the gunners
IM SO SUPPRISED!!!
You know, at the Newcastle match, he was challenged twice and came off the pitch twice (second time for good). He's awesome, but he's got two Achilles' legs. I think we've got to seriously cut his playing time down and get him into some lower-body strength training. We could weld titanium plates onto his bones and give him iron-plated ankle protectors, or something. And he should stop playing internationals.
There's nearly two weeks till our next match so hopefully we can have at least one of them back. If not there's always Vela, it could be a blessing in disguise.
Or maybe J Simpson will get a chance to shine.
BENDTNER IS STARTING FOR DENMARK AGAINST HUNGARY!
