SEVEN Arsenal Stars Ruled Out of City Clash
Arsenal will be without SEVEN of their star performers for the Premier League tie with Manchester City at Eastlands this Satuday.
It caps off an extraordinarily bad end to the week for Arsene Wenger’s side who’s league form has been worsening in recent months, losing four times against the ’smaller sides’ as well as even more atrocious defensive performances against Stoke and Aston Villa.
Then, Theo Walcott dislocated his shoulder whilst on International Duty for England with doctors confirming the young starlet is likely to be out for 3 months or more.
And of course, to really make things a whole lot worse, Kolo Toure came back from Africa with a calf strain despite being told not to risk it.
There is some good news though, Robin van Persie returns on the back of a double against Sweden for Holland. The 26-year-old will be welcomed into the team with open arms after completing his 3-match suspension.

why djourou at RB? that whould be a somewhat hopeless pick, when we have Gallas and Silvestre in the middle, and both of them have played as back before…. but on the positive side, because of midfield worries, Wenger can’t put Song at RB this time….

No-ones really played that well this season but djourou has been the pick of the bunch so far for me in the CC. He’s quality in the air and doesnt pussy out of any challenges so i hope he gets a starting birth at CB. I wouldnt mind seeing Fabianski get a go infront of Almunia. I would like to see this team walk out at Eastlands on saturday:

I think “Silvestre” is or big fucking problem..he is very SHAKKY at the back and not that good with High balls.. He never looked solid or confident since he joined us, he’s allways behind players doesn’e like 2 move or make a challenge, Djourou and Song are much better than him.
I hope Le Boss is going 2 drop him and let him Hit The Road in January becaue he’s just not really fit 2 be an Arsenal Fc player.

Almunia has been outstanding for the past two seasons, yes he’s made the odd error, but what ‘keeper hasn’t?
People were even talking him up as a potential captain, it’s Gooners looking for a scapegoat – once again!.
Again, probably won’t happen but I’d love to see Wenger try something different and go all out against City (which, based on some current performances, they seem to have difficulty dealing with). I’d go with:

hope he play with Vela and adebayor or rvp cause bendtner play very bad against aston villa he didnt do anything maybe vela can make it better and in the middle maybe they could try with merida or wilshere,nasri,ramsey, and diaby or denilson, in the back are alot of troubles but maybe with gibbs and clichy, djourou and gallas or mikael could make a very good match in other case i wouldnt use nicklas cause he play really badly in the last 2 games…… hope arsenal win mancity.

I think the reason that whenever Gallas/Silvestre/Toure are partnered in the centre, we look unstable, is because we don’t have the right balance.
Which is why, I thought, that Djourou would’ve been the answer. His style is the perfect foil to any of those three, much like Senderos was. We need a stopper and a tough tackler (to use the PES lingo, lol). Look at United or Chelsea, they have the best examples of a defence. Vidic/Ferdinand or Terry/Carvalho (I think?) form a rock at the back whilst managing to have decent aattacking full backs (with the exception of Brown and Cole).
I hope Djourou plays at CB. Time for him to get familiar at that position as stomachless Gallas’s replacement.

i have gone through all AFC supporters comments and i have realised you dont know football you just suport it. if you make Djourou and Clichy to be near @ other you will stop that wing and no one will closs their . if you make Ebue and galas to be near each other you will close down any player on that wing not sagna and galas , the day Eboue returns back to that no 2 arsenal fc will jubilate . Now since Eboue is not their , Make Galas to be no 2 , and Song to be N0 5 ,their are some problem with that wing but it will work . in the Mid field dont put Denlson to be yr No 6 , Den is an all around player on the Pitch , and you shoul make him No 8 , now since FAB is not around , Make Remsy to be yr No 6 , Make Nasri to be your No 7 for defensive ability to protect Gallas, make Diaby yr no 11 Put RVP to be yr no 9, AND Adeboyor to be yr 10 .
