Gallas & Ramsey Drafted In For Champions League Tie

With seven first-team players out with injuries, 17-year-old midfield starlet Aaron Ramsey is set to be given another chance in the Champions League competition as Arsenal take on Dynamo Kyiv in their Group G encounter tomorrow night.

The Welshman, who has already played in both home and away games to Fenerbahce, looks likely to stake a place on the right hand side where the Gunners appear to be lacking in strength with Samir Nasri, Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky all out through injury.

A youthful substitutes bench will also become apparent.  Henri Lansbury (18), Jay Simpson (19), Jack Wilshere (16), Kieran Gibbs (19) and Gavin Hoyte (18) all trained at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground earlier this afternoon.

William Gallas comes back into the side after receiving a repreival from Arsene Wenger. The former skipper disgraced himself with critical comments aimed at the Gunners’ policies and youngsters but after Cesc Fabregas was named permanent captain today, Gallas can have that hinderance off his back.

Predicted Starting XI

Almunia
Djourou – Gallas – Silvestre – Clichy
Ramsey – Fabregas (c) – Song – Denilson
Bendtner – van Persie

Subs: Fabianski, Vela, Wilshere, Gibbs, Hoyte, Merida, Simpson.

When is Ade back? Bendtner is not ready.

I would rather Ramsey partner Cesc and have Vela and Nasri on the wings, or have Diaby alongside Cesc.

Song should stick to the Carling Cup.

    Diaby’s injured mate.

How on earth did Diaby and Nasri get injured since Saturday? It certainly wasn’t caused by excessive effort, as neither of them looked like they could be bothered. Abdominal strain for Diaby – was he straining on the bog?

With that in mind my revised line-up would be:

    Almunia

    Djourou Silvestre Gallas Clichy

    Denilson Ramsey Cesc Vela

    Wilshere

    Van Persie

Song and Bendtner should stay home to keep everyone up to date on what’s happening in Eastenders.

  13. Please arsene, you should drop denilson and van persie and start with vela and wilshear. Let us not make gallas as a scape goat, i believe gallas comment van persie. finally arsene, should go for a goalkeeper, two central defenders, a midfielder in the mould of viera

I really want Bendtner to do well for once. I keep saying that he has so much potential, but never takes his opportunities. He has asked for the chances and he has got them. if there no improvement by January he has to go.

    Almunia

    Djourou Gallas Silvestre Clichy

Ramsey Fabregas (c) :D Denilson Merida

    Bendtner v.Persie

He plays song for physical games but Denilson in home games. i would be surprised if he played song tomorrow.

    Hope Merida does well (Y)

Song’s technique is not good enough and so he will never be a starting midfielder at Arsenal. He could possibly be a back up centre back but I don’t see much more.

    Almunia
    Djourou-Gallas-Silvestre-Clichy
    Ramsey-Fabregas(c)-Song-Denilson
    Van Persie-Bendtner

I don’t want to see that starting line up but I think that’s the most likely.

That’s a very good team Davi. Our defense would have to be on their game though considering that’s a very creative orientated midfield.
If both Ramsey and Cesc showed some restraint it could go very well. But expect Wenger to place a combatative midfielder like Song in there.

that midfield is really weak fabregas is the strongest player which doesnt say much wenger better realise he needs 2 reinforce in january in that area we need a DM so badly! i rekon vela should be given a go at least on the left wing he is a super player

to be honest id have put denilson in ahead of fabregas if he wasnt captain now, but hopefully fab will get back to his old self
id like ramsey in CM cos i think hes stronger than the others and a better tackler (probably a better attacker too!)
hopefully wel get the chance to see him play at least

We should recall Traore in jan we need him now not many potions left. I wouldnt play denilson today he off form and play alot of games. Why does wenger always play midfielders out of position, denlison/song cant play wide, love to see merdia or wilshere start but i doubt it. Ramsey has to start and in the middle! Always rated Benthner but he has been poor in the last 4/5 games.
