Videos: Anelka & Lampard Lose Their Rag As Gooners Celebrate Win

I’m sure you’ll all agree with me when I say Arsenal’s travelling support was absoloutely fantastic earlier this evening.

They sung their hearts out for the full 90 minutes as the Gunners triumphed to a 2-0 win over a physical Chelsea side.

However, the banter with both fans and players continued after full time where several Gooners waited outside in the Stamford Bridge car park.

Blues midfield star Frank Lampard was asked to give a ‘Cashley Cole’ note to the man himself, England International Lampard stupidly believed it was a real note before actually looking at the photo of Cole instead of the Queen’s head and subsequently threw it on the ground.

That was just the start of the ‘abuse’ for Chelsea’s lavishly-paid stars. One fan had the bottle to run up to former Gunner Nicolas Anelka’s Mini-Cooper car chanting the words “Ian Wright Wright Wright” after Anelka earlier in the week admitted he left Arsenal after being told he wasn’t Ian Wright’s replacement in a Fans Poll.

A traffic jam forced Anelka’s car to stop. The Frenchman angrily got out of his car and said, “Come here and say that… pussy.” It surprised many of the Gooners watching on, but the fan made sure he got the last words by telling 30-year-old Anelka to “fuck off.”

Chelsea 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal’s up and down season is in the ascendancy again after Robin van Persie struck twice in three second-half minutes to stun Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Johan Djourou turned Jose Bosingwa’s cross into his own net after 31 minutes to give Chelsea the lead as Arsenal’s title challenge looked to be in danger of suffering a potentially fatal blow.

And then, with Chelsea the dominant force, Van Persie delivered two crucial blows to earn Arsene Wenger’s side a priceless victory.

He looked well offside when he drilled home the equaliser after 59 minutes, then was on target again on the turn to complete a remarkable turnaround in fortunes.

Match Report: Chelsea 1-2 Arsenal

Dutch hitman Robin van Persie proved to be the hero as he scored two goals to give Arsenal’s fading Premier League title hopes a boost with a 2-1 win at Chelsea.

Having lost two league games in a row, and with their character, quality and spirit questioned in recent weeks, Arsene Wenger’s side orchestrated a dramatic turnaround to keep their title hopes alive and move to within seven points of Chelsea and Liverpool.

But for Chelsea the result further shattered the veneer of invincibility that once surrounded Stamford Bridge with The Blues now winning only three of eight Premier League games at their former fortress.

Chelsea Starting XI

Mikel – Deco – Ballack
Lampard

Arsenal Starting XI

Match Preview: Chelsea v Arsenal (Premier League)

Match Preview

Premiership leaders Chelsea take on fifth-placed Arsenal in the London derby at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side will look to clinch full points against Arsene Wenger’s Gunners, who will be out to avoid third successive league defeat following their losses against Aston Villa and Manchester City.

The Blues can ill afford any slip-up with the title race neck and neck as Liverpool, who have same number of points as the west London club, take on West Ham United on Monday. Last weekend, both joint-leaders were involved in separate goalless draws.

Good news for Arsenal though, Chelsea have a long list of injury-enforced absentees with Juliano Belletti (ankle), Michael Essien (knee), Ricardo Carvalho (knee) and Franco di Santo (hamstring) out with Joe Cole likely to be forced to miss the game due to an ankle injury against Bordeaux in Champions League 1-1 draw on Wednesday. Didier Drogba, who seems to have a knack of scoring against Arsenal, is banned.

Arsenal, who won 1-0 against Dynamo Kiev in midweek, are set to be boosted by the return of Emmanuel Adebayor, Bacary Sagna (both ankle) and Samir Nasri (knee). However, Abou Diaby (abdominal strain), Kolo Toure (calf), Theo Walcott (shoulder) and Emmanuel Eboue (knee) are sidelined.

Gunners tactician Arsene Wenger has insisted that his side can beat the west-Londoners, who lost their unbeaten run in the league at home earlier in the season when they were beaten by Liverpool.

Wenger said:

“We are written off. You cannot say when you are 10 points behind that we are favourites to win the championship, but you can say as well the only way we can get back into it is to believe we can.

“That is why we want to go into this game on Sunday by believing we can beat them because we know we can. That is all you want your players to do.”

Predicted Starting XI

Almunia
Sagna – Gallas – Silvestre – Clichy
Denilson – Fabregas (c) – Song – Nasri – van Persie
Adebayor

It's That Time Of Year Again… Cashley Cole Banknotes!

This article is mainly aimed at the supporters making the short trip across North London to West London tomorrow afternoon – even if you’re not going, pass the Cashley Notes onto your mates.

Arsene Wenger has been saying he “hopes we leave Cole alone.” Why Arsene? Just why? Obviously as the manager of Arsenal he has to say these nice things about Ashley Cole, however we the fans are allowed to voice exactly our opinions.

When Gallas left Chelsea the Club sent out statements saying how he’s disrupted the club and just wanted money (it’s does beg the question why they wanted Cole to replace him but oh well) whereas Arsenal picked out what Cole had done for the club. That’s class. Chelsea do not have class.

I’d love to be going tomorrow, it’s going to be an amazing game to be at; if anyone wants to give me an early Xmas present you know where I am!

Gooner Talk have managed to get hold of the infamous Cashley banknotes. So, click here to open the PDF file, and click print. Then, cut them out, put them in your pocket and when Cashley gets the ball – wave them at the Judas cunt!

A match preview will be avaliable tomorrow afternoon while a live match stream will be posted shortly before kick-off. Enjoy!

Watch Olexandr Aliyev's Hilarious Dive Again (Video)

Olexandr Aliyev received his orders for an early bath on Tuesday night the Emirates, getting sent off just before the final whistle, but the Ukrainian should have been turfed off the pitch much earlier for a disgusting attempt at conning the ref.

As if acting out a war scene from Platoon, Olexandr Aliyev was captured writhing around the deck, clutching his ankle in apparent agony, as the number 8 put on an Oscar nominated performance to prove how “injured” he was.

However, when it became obvious that the ref had no interest in Aliyev’s yelps, incredibly the player’s powers of recovery sped into overdrive, with the midfielder jumping on his feet and spiriting to the aid of his Kiev teammates as Arsenal built another attack.

View the video of Aliyev’s stupendous dive below.

Afobe Impresses As England Retain Victory Shield

England Under 16′s have won the Sky Sports Victory Shield after securing a 2-0 win over a rugged Scotland side in difficult foggy conditions at Lincoln’s Sincil Bank stadium.

Once again, the star man proved to be Arsenal striker Benik Afobe, the 15-year-old notched up a tally of 40 goals for the Gunners’ Under 15′s last campaign.

Young Guns reported several days ago that if Benik was to bag just one goal in tonights game, then he would equal Michael Owen’s goal scoring record of four in the renowned youth competition.

And It didn’t take long for the East Londoner to make his mark in the highly-anticipated final. After some severe England pressure on the Scots backline, Afobe got his goal.

Aziz Deen-Conteh floated in a corner from the right-hand side and Ross Barkley’s powerful header was cleared off the line by Dylan McGeogh. From the resulting corner, Afobe gave England the lead.

There were more chances to come for young Afobe, but a mixture of both good defending and goalkeeping kept him at bay.

Ipswitch Town’s Connor Wickham bagged England’s second within three minutes of the second half. A mistake from Scotland’s goalkeeper gifted Wickham a tap-in which proved to be the winning goal in a thrilling, but foggy contest.

Man of the Match for the tournament was certainly Benik Afobe. Arsenal have one hot prospect on their hands, and he looks ready to make that step-up to the Gunners first team, sooner rather than later.
