Bendtner was wasteful and he certainly isn’t a worker, but he did create two wonderful chances for Vela and Randall, both of whom were arguably worse than the man in pink.

In fact, Vela was almost totally anonymous and made a number of really poor decision. As for Randall, well a striker might be able to prince around (see Berbatov, Ibra), but a box-to-box midfielder can’t. He didn’t track his runner on the first goal and was owned on the second. Also, Merida seems ill-equipped to play in England – didn’t give much help to Gibbs and also suffered from attempting Hollywood passes. His one run was virtuoso stuff, but he looks like he’ll need to head back to the Continent to make a career.

Bendtner has a bright career…..in modelling. He seems more interested in his pink boots than scoring. Disapointing to see the kids fall at the Q/F stage but they have all given good accounts of themelves and this could mean that a few might go out on loan in Jan. Send Bendtner back out on loan me thinks. Eduardo should be back by then anyway.

Bendtner scored a great goal in the CL however on Tuesday he was far too casual – looked like he had scored in his mind before he took the shot – where was the hunger and determination ?

These boys has been wining their game in a very determined manner untill Wenger benched the two goals hero in Wigan game Simpson for pink boot(Bedtner) who ended their run in the carling cup,unfortunately the pink boot will continue to play his rubish in the first team while he has effectively sentenced them (the boys) to no more serious competeption or games for the rest of the season,thanks to the pink boot and Wenger,it is so sad to understand why he benched Jay Simpson the guy who is on fire from wigan game i am not sure if Wenger do video review of our games,because if he does he will not need a fortune teller to tell him that Bedtner can not convert the first goal scored by Simpson in that wigan game.

I think Bendtner has no Arsenal-future. Vela is already better than him, despite yesterday night.

It was a horrible night, because we had some very clear chance, but we couldn’t live with them. Despite this I think every player has bright future in the football. I don’t think that everyone will stay at Arsenal, but Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Lansbury, Nordtveit and Barazite have great future.
