Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

Robbie Keane struck a stunning equaliser as Liverpool remained top of the Premier League and maintained an eight-point advantage over Arsenal.

Robin van Persie put Arsenal ahead after collecting a long pass from Samir Nasri that he brilliantly controlled before smashing home.

Keane’s equaliser was equally spectacular, drilling home a long punt upfield on the half-volley.

Emmanuel Adebayor saw red in the second half after picking up a second yellow.

My prediction of 1-1 correct unfortunatly! losing faabregas would have been difficult for us to really make an impression in the second half so maybe a good enough result as we ost our captain and Ade. Frustating but saw enough spirit. Villa big game on Boxing day. Without Ade and Fabregas, so possibly see Van P with Diaby pushing up and Eboue and Nasri as our wing men with Song and Denilson in the centre. Van P looked good, so strong when he has players around him. Dont know what it is about him, he has the makings of the top striker in prem just choice selection sometimes lets him down

Is it me but does anyone else feel that Van P and Ade dont really link up, they kind of just play their own game, no real link up play, with either feeding off each other or much interchanging

am i the only person who sits here now thinking that should chelsea win we’re 1 point further out of the title race?

it wasn’t a bad performance, although we seriously lacked width and pace, nasri was our only midfield threat in the second half. the second booking was straight out wrong but regardless of everything-

we’re probably 8 points off the lead now. they talk about given the sending off a draw being a good result, but the context is that we started the game 7 points off first and have probably dropped another point on them. when we’re already so far off i can’t see how it’s a good result.

I hope we get the chance to knock them out of the Champions League after Roma. That would be just Poetry.
