Cana’s future to be decided at end of week

Marseille skipper Lorik Cana’s future should be resolved by the end of the week, with the Albanian yet to rule out a move to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has been constantly linked to Europe’s top sides with Arsenal reportedly interesting in acquiring the combative hitman.
Cana hasn’t ruled out a move to the Gunners’ either, according to him, several English sides have contacted Marseille chief Jose Anigo.
“A transfer is not certain yet, I’m still captain of the OM [Marseille]. One thing I do know: we will have a clearer picture at the end of the week.”
“There are opportunities to go in the course of this week or next. I am thinking logically at the moment. If the conditions are met, I will [leave]. Anyway, for now, nothing is already done and nothing is 100% secure, even on my side. I have not even discussed with the new coach.”

What the hell is happening. Is melo going to arsenal or Juventus?
I thought juventus need to pay the full amount for juventus whilst arsenal get a discount with eboue going the other way.
What does that mean exactly?
Right i think i know where things stand with melo…
Talks are ongoing but certainly not concluded between the two clubs..Most reports are suggesting that no terms have been agreed with any other clubs however if they were then melo’s representatives would talk to them…i.e. if arsenal offer 15 million plus eboue fiorentina are likely to accept and melo discuss terms with arsenal…
There is also confusion over marchionni, as to whehter he is part of the deal or not…
I think firoentina are trying to get as much as they can out of the deal and so they should…but i guess it will come down to who can agree a fee first and in the event that both teams agree a deal who the player prefers…
It is also speculated that The viola would prefer a deal in which melo does not go to a rival club considering there has been a fans revolt against their actions thus far…
I guess we just have to sit tight as i have no idea whether wenger is involved in negotiations at the moment or not
SIt tight gooners!!
New news aswell…It is being claimed that Marchionni is indeed the main obstacle with fiorentina refusing him a bigger contract…A move supposedly to appease viola fans giving arsenal another chance to get involved in the deal…Thats if wenger hasnt already washed his hands clean of it
The Plot Thickens

Marchionni wrecks Melo move?
There are shock reports that Marco Marchionni could wreck Felipe Melo’s proposed move to Juventus, letting Arsenal back in.
The Bianconeri reached a deal last night to hand over Marchionni plus cash for a total £21m to bring in Melo from Fiorentina.
According to violanews.com this evening, the move has hit a major obstacle, as Marchionni is unhappy with the contract he has been offered.
“Unfortunately we won’t be doing anything,” agent Bruno Carpeggiani told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We only asked for 200,000 Euros more than Marco was earning at Juve, but Fiorentina just don’t want to know. It’s a shame.”
There are also suggestions some people would prefer they not work it out. TuttoJuve.com reports that a clause in Melo’s contract gives agent Jose Rodriquez Baster 10 per cent if a club activated the buy-out clause using only cash.
Including Marchionni in the move, at a cost of under £5m, would in fact lose the agent a great deal of money.
Fiorentina.it claims that Arsenal were lining up a new offer for Brazilian midfielder Melo when news of the deal with Juventus emerged.
The Gunners were ready to hand over Philippe Senderos, Emmanuel Eboue and £5m.
chris.bro… plz.. give new post..
lol he aint comin to the emirates. lets just face facts, we cant compete financially with other teams coz wenger wud rather find a gem and polish it than buy the ready made player.
Has site been down for while for you guys?
Anyway, great news. If it does come down to Melo deciding which club he prefers to go to, Arsenal must be favourites as Juventus are rivals towards Viola & Melo respects La Viola’s fans. Also, that help from Gilberto might be the vital part.
I am so pleased!
Let’s sit tight and hang on for the ride. Shit is about to get crazier.
This is so tense!
I’m afraid to wait for the page to upload & find the heading say
“Juventus finalise deal with Felipe Melo”
hi
have you guys seen this shit article in goal.com?!! i just want to kill this Sulmaan Ahmad!! i hate him SO MUCH!i think he has a problem with wenger!cuz every negative article about arsenal,on goal.com,is from him! i just don’t know WHY?!!!!
http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2009/07/08/1371167/english-angle-no-felipe-melo-no-ambition-no-chance-of-arsene
Goal.com are so anti-Arsenal
i wouldnt taken any notice of goal.com, their articles are written by a bunch of grade A muppets that latch onto any story about serie A and how good it is and leach for as much as possible..
they are uber PRO SERIE A and dislike any team that gets in the way of an italian team ie arsenal trying to compete with juve for melo…nearly all their articles are about english clubs ruining world football and stealing youngsters from other countries…hence why they appear to dislike the arsenal
They even did an article on the topic : “What formation should Juve go with”
& they put Melo in their selection. The arrogance of them!
They’ve no respect.
SkyItalia are dimwits aswell.
yeah!i remember one time they did an article with this title: Premiere league heaven, serie A hell, stop fooling us SKY! they just HATE EPL!

from Viola official site:
Melo? The player is good is happy to play a team like Fiorentina, he said that since there is a clause rescissoria is in the hands of God then gave Fiorentina players of his quality only under certain conditions: The player must have reached an agreement with the company concerned and the possible application of the Club shall be to our liking (in the case of Felipe Melo 25 million Euro). Eboue? Wenger wants to talk to me, so do not rule out that anything can happen.
guys what about this for an idea if we buy melo then song and denilson wont get there chance so would it be better if we bought senna signed him on a 2 year contract and then our midfield can learn from him then when he retires we have an expereniced midfield and we give everybody a chance oh by the way fucking delighted that rvp signed and that russian is a big fat cunt trying 2 take over our arsenal gooner chris any info on matudi the guy from st etinne
