Juventus complete Melo signing
Arsenal target Felipe Melo has officially signed for Juventus, according to TV station Sky Sport Italia.
The 25-year-old recently emerged as Brazil’s first-choice midfielder in the Confederations Cup tournament this summer and subsequently prompted interest from Gunners’ boss Arsène Wenger along with several other European giants.
A swap deal involving Emmanuel Eboue was even hinted at by the Viola’s sporting director Pantaleo Corvino. But unfortunately, to many Gooners’ disgust, fresh-faced Melo sealed his big-money deal to Juve earlier this evening.
Details of Melo deal:
“Juve have paid €21 million plus the full ownership of winger Marco Marchionni, a deal worth €25m in total, the amount set as the player’s release clause in a contract he just signed on June 30 with the Viola.”
Marchionni’s agent Bruno Carpeggiani has been speaking to the unofficial Fiorentina fan site Fiorentina.it
“If I was pessimistic yesterday, today I am very optimistic,” Carpeggiani revealed.
“The situation has been unlocked, the player [Marchionni] has accepted the offer from Fiorentina and is married to the Viola project.
“Official confirmation? We can say that it will arrive in a matter of hours.”
Heres a long shot for u i reckon arsenal are after Clement Chantome. We were after him last season. Hes 6ft fast and good tackler. I would buy him

so guys where does arsenal’s fate now lies? wat our the chances of us winning a trophies in the coming seasons? who can we look into now in the summer? do we even have the money to compete against the big team in the transfer market? why ar we been regarded as a one of the big team in the world? wat ar the differences bwt arsenal and aston villa or everton or roma or sevilla or wolfsburg or atletico madrid or bordeaux? i hope we dont regret for us not buying this FILIPE MELO later on in the coming campaign. cos i think the guy is really wat arsenal need now but unfortunately dat ain’t the case because we dont have the money not even we dont have the money, but because it is reaally hard for the arsenal board to fork out 25 million pounds on a player dat is going to move us forward and lead us out of the four barren years of no trophy. cana is no top class player,cheyrou is a top class player thats why they dont sell him,and i obsserv one think, any player we want to buy ,they go very easy to other theams ,even if they are more week one the feeld then us,thats not good at all, they should think to give biger salarys
We need another gawddamn DM Wenger! Come the ANC in january or whenever we’re gonna be without Song and Toure. Denilson can’t play that role from a defensive point of view. So either Diaby comes back built like a brick shithouse or we’re screwed.

reply. arsenal4ever. wenger knows best and that is why he is trying to sign melo from fiorentina but our board is not giving him a lot of support that he needs financcially. so that is the case arsenal4ever. wenger want melo i am sure of dat but the board wont support the man. you know dat wnger even said that he has 1 0r 2 targets but buying dem is another case. so dat says it all. the board is not givin our manager the right support. we really missed david dein guys.

but we must face the fact arsenal4ever, if we want good players dat will take us to the top again we need to pay big so dat we can be big. madrid pay big for both ronaldo and kaka cos they want to be winning titles. same as juve cos they really want scudetto badly dat is where they will buy melo. believe me arsene4ever, matuidi cant take us to the top. i know dat is the player we goona buy for that dm position cos he is less. if we always go for the less then we cant be considered a big club. transfer market is crazy nowadays with money. but if we really mean business we mustnt be cheap always. if we cant pay big for a player then dont expect us to be somewhere big on the premier league table come next year may. we goona be replaced with team that pays big like man city belive me. but i dont wish this for arsenal though but we must also act fast now and be serious like as if we really mean business

It hasn’t be confirmed yet. The transfer seems to be dragging on, but as far as I’m aware the deal is practically done.
fair enough, disapointing news though, i have seen him play a few times and it looks like he has a bright future and it would have been nice to see him put on the arsenal shirt

if you ask me i can’t rily say we missed out maybe he is another one season wonder player(like some player who went to AC Milan and is finding life difficult) we will have to wait a few more seasons to see if we really missed people just started recognising the lad when he featured as Brazil’s first choice CDM i didn’t even know about the guy.i believe every player can be replaced however good they are,the transfer market is still young there is still time for us to boost our squad im jus happy there hasn’t been a mass exodus like the two previous seasons coz a mass exodus always destabilises the team.i still have faith in the team!gunnerz baby!!!!!
