Highlights: Barnet 2-2 Arsenal
Apologies for the site not being updated recently. I’ve had my own computer trouble which meant that I wasn’t able to log onto the Internet!
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Barnet yesterday, and after attending the match at Underhill, I was fantastically impressed to see Tomas Rosicky returning in a Gunners shirt.
Despite the result, several of the youngsters impressed including Nacer Barazite who was on loan at Derby last season.

Not a great game but good to see rosicky back & vermaelen looked good, couqlen looked good in the early period of the 2nd half but then faded for obvious reasons but look forward to seeing more of the kid during the season.

The only youngsters that impressed me was Ayling, cruise and barazite.
Luke Ayling is superb for a 17 looks a real talent. Cruise at left back is very solid and realiable. Eastmond keeps get beatne by good wingers
Although its normal to be apprehencious or a little weary in your fist game, i have to say i feel Vermalen looked very inept at times. Especially in the air, hes was outjumped on numerous occassions by a 40 year old, and almost outpaced by the other attacker. HAving said that Vermalen is very composed when on the ball and does read the game well.
Also I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact Tomas Rosicky is back, bar a few mis placed passes, him and Arshavin were easily motm, they were superb. Good luck Rosicky, prove your doubters wrong!

welcome back rosicky. Dont read too much into the fact that we drew, vermaelen got outpaced etc its PRE SEASON, and its only our first game its about getting the fitness levels up
Couldn’t get to see the game, so I can’t comment on it. But these type of games are just to start getting fitness levels back up again after while off. Very happy to have Rosicky back, and glad to know he came out without any problems.
Why did Ramsay or Eduardo not play, are they still not fit or something?
