Get well soon Samir!

nasri

Everyone at Gooner Talk would like to wish Samir Nasri a quick and easy recovery after the Frenchman sustained a fractured fibula during pre-season training earlier this morning.

22-year-old Nasri tried to block a fierce shot from his compatriot Abou Diaby, and he is expected to be out of action for up to three months.

Nasri enjoyed a consistent first season in English football after joining the club from Marseille last summer, making 44 first-team appearances and scoring seven times.

The good news for Arsenal is that fellow midfielder Tomas Rosicky has returned to action after 18 months out and may be ready to help fill the void left by Nasri.

In other news, Arsene Wenger’s men continue their pre-season preparations with a match against Austrian minnows SC Columbia, you’ll be able to find the teams on Gooner Talk once we receive them – so stay tuned!

    • arshavin'sbootcleaner says:

Keep your racist remarks off public forums before you make a complete fool out of yourself

      • andy says:

all he did was say that diaby was black, which he is unless he’s changed colour

        • ignorant_barometer says:

so what does him being black have to do with the stupid tackle, would he have said ‘white …’ if it was Silvestre with the tackle.
          stop being ignorant man

  6. Gooner4life says:

Just cant believe this news…..obviously Best wishes Samir, and may it be a speedy recovery. but for f*ck sake.

will this force wengers hand in the transfer market do you think GOONER CHRIS?

    • daymee says:

It is pathetic if you consider a circumstance will FORCE someone to take action. I wish Samir a quick recovery. After what we witnessed about our midfield, is there a need to FORCE Wenger’s hands? Is there any initiative without the need for convincing? If Wenger needs hand-forcing, then we are doomed to fail because teams better than us are improving themselves without injuries needing to remind them.

Arsenal cannot escape injuries. I don’t wish the club bad luck but this cycle has started again. When we get players back from injuries and they start to get some match fitness, it is either they get injured again or someone else gets injured in their place. Unfortunately, we always count our eggs and not our chickens. Arsenal needed at least 2 new players without Samir’s injury. If he’ll be out for 3 months, then add one more month to that because we all know Wenger is never in a rush to bring back an injured player. I am very upset about this news because a player like Nasri is a player about to start his second season in a new club. Second seasons are always a climax for a new signing and this season was meant to be a big one for Nasri. I cannot see how we can go into this season without 2 major acquisitions in centre forward and midfield.

  9. Topgunner says:

    Supersam,

Keep ur despicable, xenophobic, racist comments to yourself.

Get well soon sammy. It seems Diaby’s workouts this summer have left him stronger than he knows. Just could be our new DM…

    • chris says:

i dont like racism but diaby is a headless chicken…he should stick to 5 a side matches where his ’skills’ are more suited..he is a liability and since his own leg break has definately gone backwards..

  10. adam says:

if we dont buy now then we will NOT get 4th!

i love nasri ! hope he comes back as good as he was !

  11. john davis says:

    abou you stupid idiot

  12. Danish Gooner says:

Will Wenger say in three months time ,Samir is like a new signing.I cant believe how injury prone our players are.Samir was in and out off the side last year because off injuruies and dont for one think that Rosicky and and Eduardo wont be injured before the season begins. At Everton we will probably line up with a dog and its blind mate.

  13. Aash says:

Supersam you ignorant retarded twat. You are a disgrace to arsenal. Try being a yid if you come up with such shit again dickhead.
Get well quick Nasri. 1 of our best.

  14. adam says:

and we dont need diaby in the squad! song is our tackler!

    walcott – fabregas – song – Rosicky

    arshavin
    RVP

that looks solid midfield and striking partnership to me! specially with eduardo to come back and if he hits form arshavin can play same roll as last season

  15. martin says:

honestly diaby should not play in our central mdifield anymore

he cannot tackle last year he broke sneider’s leg in pre season, now Nasri wtf is his problem

what is wrong with him all i remember about this guys tackling is how he flies in and flings his lanky legs everywhere

thats if hes not throwing studs in first

    gosssh

anyway hopefully samir samir gets back soon and we wish him well

    come on Rosicky

  16. Julian H says:

    “my heart is literally bleeding!!!”

I almost hope that’s true, “LostYiddo”.

  17. harrison says:

its official we are the most unlucky team in the league

  18. iJemz says:

Diaby is a fucking wanker, I’ve never liked that prick. Why even let the bastard even fucking train? He’s a league 2 player.

  19. NewGooner says:

As most of you know, i was the first to point out that nasri would be out for 2 months and that it was a collision with Diaby that inflicted the injury.

Having spoken to one of my contacts in Austria, the players are all fighting for places, and all want to show their quality to the boss as this is where the team will be selected. There is big competition, especially from Diaby and Senderos who all want to force their way back into the team and they have been applying themselves with determination for the past two weeks.

Nasri will most likely undertake a month of his rehab at Clairfontaine, where Gallas went to recuperate.

  20. Aa23 (norwegian gooner) says:

Surely now wenger doesn’t have a choise but to move in the transfer market?

Arsenal must act, and fast! we need a very versitile player who can play across the midfield. IMO he should be purchased to fill the DM slot, but he has to be able to fill in at left/right midfield, but sadly i have no idea who that player would be, or if he indeed exist…

Maybe, just maybe, Diaby can now fill the DM as he has become the brute we so obviously crave (lets pray he can, although i doubt it)

  21. Tego says:

I’m sitting here thinking “In training? Broken leg? Who is that cack-footed” I really should have known it was Abou fucking Diaby.

  22. kevbomb says:

    FDSLJFKLJDSFKL FUCK FUKC KLSDJFKLDSJFSD

why does my favourite have to go and half fucking die!?

    FDKSJ:KLFDJFKLDSJKLFDSJKLJSDKLFJDSfdjklsfj

    FDSFJ:KLDSJFKLDSJFLKDSJFLSKDJ FUSFKC UFKC FUCK

its official. arsenal are out of the top for. well i’m half-kididng, we’re still strong. but nasri was going to be our talisman. he was.

  23. Ken says:

You guys all need to calm down. Diaby made a very very awful tackle on Nasri but remember that this is a normal accident in football. Even great tacklers injured their teammates before so no need to jump at him like that.

  24. Get better real soon SAMIR
You are a big loss to Us

  25. Youngy says:

Does anyone know where Eduardo is? Why was he not in the squad for Barnet and again not in the Squad for SC Colombia, nice goal Ramsey there…..is he in Austria? is he injured again??? Anyone?

  26. futballyank says:

all you doom and gloomers need to relax.
if nasri (or any single player) was the diff between finishing top 4 or not, then there are so many problems that one would know not where to start. and a top 1/2 table finish would have been a lucky thin indeed.

but this is not the case because arsenal is not a single player. so everyone just calm the heck down. and all you people with your “buy this, buy that . . . ” why don’t you just support chels or citeh for gods sake.

  27. DN says:

It was actually Nasri fault as wegner said that Diaby was shooting when nasri tried to nick the ball but got caught by diaby shooting foot

  28. NeverAGoon says:

Good luck in the europa next season lmao, forever a selling club

  29. FayXaan says:

Get Well Soon Nasri..u’ll be back by september..i know that u can recover well and fast.. :)
