City close to signing Kolo Toure

It appears that Kolo Toure is on the verge of completing a £14 million move to Manchester City, which would make him the second Arsenal player to join City in the space of two weeks.
The Ivorian centre-half didn’t train with Arsene Wenger’s side ahead of their pre-season friendly with Szombathelyi later this evening.
Added to that, newspaper reports this morning suggested that Toure is on City’s shortlist after Chelsea skipper John Terry committed his future to the Blues.
What we know
Kolo has ONE year left on his contract and with Gallas, Vermaelen, Djourou and Senderos at the club, he’s still far from certain of being a first team regular this season.
£14 million is a very good deal for a defender who has had persistent injury problems over the last two years. Not forgetting that he’s away for a month during the African Nations Cup in January.
What is Wenger thinking?
Some fans believe that the manager is trying to avoid another ‘Flamini situation’. If a player who has almost come to the end of their contract is adamant on leaving, then really nothing can be done but selling to the highest bidder. Would the boss do this as a last resort?

a swap involving richards wouldnt be that good of a deal as he is only cover for sagna at right back. toure is way better at cb than him and i dont see the need for him to come as eboue is even better than him at right back
as i predicted
