Almunia- 6. good save off the crossbar and poor goal to concede
Eboue- 6. a few good lung bursting runs
Gallas- 7. handled the attack of alkmaar and went into offense aswell
Vermaelen- 8. some key interceptions at the right times, top signing
Gibbs- 8. a very good match and wasnt exposed at all minus the goal where he did the splits
Nasri- 8. good link up play and a very good finish for his goal
Diaby-7. good counter attack goal and a few good passes and touches
Song-7. a very hard solid grafter, gunna miss him at the ACN
Fabregas 10. On top form took his 2nd goal effortlessly
Arshavin-8. a tad quite but key role in the fabregas,diaby and nasri goals respectively
Van Persie-7. Fairly quite with a couple of good strikes

Ramsey -6. not much time but did manage to hit the crossbar all be it offside

Great goals, Arsenal looked clearly better than Alkmaar.
And Diaby resucitated fastly from loose performance on Saturday.
Nevertheless, the Alkmaar’s goal was so silly…our defence was too relaxed…we must avoid that kind of goals.

now he has made their mouth shut for a very long tym now.Very nice Diaby,show them what u r made up of in each n evry match,so that they keep their crap mouth shut.I have always love to see Diaby playing,the guy has very gud dribbling&finishing skills and definitely the ppl who r comparing him with Viera are also correct in their opinion cos when he plays somehow he reminds me of the GR8 Viera.GO DIABY we r with u always.
Throughout the match evry1 played well except last few minutes.I don’t why our team starts showing laziness at last few min of the match.Last time due to this bad trait only we had conceded goal against Alkmaar and changed the won match into drawn one at “93rd min”.This is the only thing that Arsenal has to concentrate and improve upon,beside this everythings going fine.Lets see what arsene does to tackle this defensive lapses in Jan transfer window.
cesc , arsh , nasri , gallas n vermaelen were absolutely brilliant……daiby got an easy goal but played decently but he still has to be benched in my opinion..we got better players than him….i hope we see the same lineup ag wolves wih sagna in for eboue ( who probably had his worst game yesterday night) and rosicky in for diaby……btw with nasri back the passing was so crisp..loved it!!
sorry mate but you have no clue!! Diaby is brillant this season!! Yes, he has his bad moments but hey he is just 23 years old. He can only get better. Why the hell wanted Mourinho him so badly for Inter?

lol..k tell me one thing , whom would you rather bench when we have Rosicky , nasri , song , cesc ,arshavin , RVP , dudu available ??? n why?? …don’t tell me diaby is good in the air cuz he isn’t…his passing game is no where near the ones mentioned above neither is his first touch…..he gets pushed around by players smaller than him so he aint really physical…….so tell me why would u have him in the starting line-up and bench one of the above mentioned guys ???
so you think to know more as Arsene? Come on dont make me laugh. Rosicky is not playing in the same position as Diaby so you cant compare them. He and Song are our defensive minded midfielders to protect Cesc and if Diaby goes forward there are not many as him!!
we have song for that..and rosicky does track back a lot , probably more than lazy diaby..and he obviusly has a better touch and passing sense..so ur arguement goes out of the window

Almunia had time out from wenger coz he lost his mother in law in a car crash and he is devestated give him some time i think his the best we got
Emperor – i know what you mean by saying we have better attacking talent but diaby gives us something totally different especially when bendtner is unfit ! hes the tallest player so hes a threat up front even though hes not the best at heading the ball and he can mark other teams bigger players ! also he can make a tackle and sit back were as rosicky wants to attack and overall he is just powerfull and he is a presence in the middle with song !

if he was that , me and 99% of the arsenal fans wouldn’t have been pissed about him being in the starting 11 but he clearly isn’t anything like that…he might be , but only on paper…watch the game against fulham again and you’ll see how he got pushed around by players smaller than him
why the hell “the sun” gave him the MOTM award? I think you are to blind for seeing his place in our team. I wasnt the biggest fan of him but he is a really good footballer only has to be more consistent at times. You wont help us for boing him as Wenger sees something special in him. He will start more games if you like it or not. Wenger doesnt care and that is good cause you dont see the players day in day out like he does.

The thing about Diaby is, he has loads of talent, but he’s too damn inconsistent! If he could be consistent he’d be a very dangerous player for us, because he’s a good dribbler. The thing about him is though, he doesn’t have the footballing intelligence as most people on the team when it comes to passing. I’d have him on the bench once Nasri is back too 100% fitness. Diaby needs to work on passing and his timing, because he’s a stong dribbler….and another thing, I hope we don’t lose Merida, because he’s my fav. out of all the youngsters, but if we do lose him. Maybe we should sign Eden Hazrd…wow I did pretty good with my typing even thought I am drrruunnkkk! Take it easy guys!

spot on mate. He can judge more as any other supporter here. He sees the players each day and has his own tactics in mind. We needed depth in squad last year. Now we have more depth and some supporters still complaining about it.

arsenal4ever give it a rest. if we cannot disagree with arsene why even have message boards or fan sites to begin with? diaby played reasonably well yesterday, though to have him as man of the match is a laugh – in case you or the star missed it, fabregas had 2 goals and arshavin had 3 assists!
diaby will be good in time, i hope, but to say he has been magnificent this season is naive. he is too inconsistent, too often tries to dribble through two or three opponents, and too often passes to the other team. he is getting better, no doubt, but he needs to be more consistent.
when healthy, i would much rather have rosicky (or eduardo) and nasri in for bendtner and diaby. so would many other gooners.
I just wanted to say for letting the guy for his own. It is the same like some did last year with Denilson. I agree MOTM was to much but he is getting better and better. It doesnt help us to boo our own players. Everyone can have his oppinion but Arsene knows best!!

Diaby was Diaby as usual, except for that goal. At one time, we can see Fabregas raising his hands in exasperation at Diaby’s misplacing a pass as always.
Diaby looks decent with the Alkmaars and and the Portsmouth, but when we meet the other decent sides, he plays like shit! The crowd was right to boo him. It should send a message to Wenger to sell him.
