Team Predictions: Stoke City v Arsenal

Arsenal have a chance to silence some of their critics in tonight’s Premier League clash with Stoke City.

The Potters have been a thorn in the Gunners’ sides ever since they regained top-flight status and last season Wenger, who controversially accused them of deliberately trying to injure his men last season, is certain to name his strongest available line-up for this meeting.

And whoever is picked will have to withstand a barrage of long throws from Rory Delap, which helped remove Manchester City from the FA Cup in midweek.

Team News:

Andrey Arshavin (hamstring), Abou Diaby (knee) and William Gallas (calf) are still out. Therefore Wenger’s main decision is between Sol Campbell and Mikael Silvestre for the centre back slot alongside Thomas Vermaelen. Both had their problems when a weakened Arsenal side went of the FA Cup on the same ground a month ago.

“Gallas (calf), Diaby (knee) and Arshavin (hamstring) are all out but Eduardo joins in training tomorrow [Friday] and we will decide after training,” said the manager at his pre-match press conference.

hi chris, am happy ur back… wat happened? i will prefer eboue to start this game in place of rosicky or nasri..so maybe when the match is like 20 min left, we can introduce walcott,rosicky/nasri and maybe ramsey…

There’s no better oppourtunity to close in on Chelsea now. We closed ManU to 2 pts last Saturday, it is time to close Chelsea to 3 points. If we beat Stoke, even the Arsenal haters will start to take Arsenal seriously.

This one game (Stoke City) will set the scene for the last 10 games of the season.
Win this one and the shout will be bigging up for Arsenal to win this title.

Ramsey will surely start … Denilson wont play anymore this season(uploaded to brazil or smth).Walcott on the right, with Nasri/Rosicky-Samir more possible to keep Rosicky out of injury…

ARGH! we won but of course we lose another player. I hope for the sake of Ramseys career he can heal from the injury, but Stoke had to do it didnt they

Its one thing to be physical, but its totally different thing to be ‘wanting’ to kick another player.

this is the third time in 5 years we lose a player for a horrendous injury!!! absolutely sickening.how can thugs like these stoke players call themselves premiership players.im very proud of the way our players responded after the injury!!!wenger was very upset after the match and so was fabregas!!! i feel the press is responsable for this as we are always told that the way to beat arsenal is to bully them!!!good luck to ramsey …what a loss …a player of the quality souldnt have to face tackles like that.in europe referees protact brilliant players like ramsey.before the injury fabregas complained to the referree who shrugged him off saying”get on with it”.

Gutting. How bad does a tackle need to be before the press stop encouraging teams to hack our players? Unbelievable response from the team in the circumstances. Most importantly wish Rambo a quick recovery.

  29. Thats 3 leg breaks in 4 years but alot of more close shaves from horrendous tackles by players that should even being playing football because they are so poor. When do use see Rio or Ledley King do tackles like that [they dont have as poor touch, read the game & position themselves in a place to pick the ball off opponents unlike that agriculture player].

It is not a 50-50 challenge, when you take a awful first touch them lunge in to win the ball isnt 50-50
