This has got to be his best goal in an Arsenal shirt.
I used to see him score these kind of goals in the YouTube clip we all saw b4 he was brought to Arsenal. It is a goal he can be proud of. Absolutely sensational. He covered for Cesc and he did a marvellous job.
This is what someone thought of our beloved Arsenal b4 the game

Great Performance without Cesc. Showed our great depth. Vermalen was MVP for me he closed down the ball well. I wasn’t happy seeing Bendter smile last week after missing those chances but he did well today, congrats to you and up the Gunners. Let’s see what the Quarters bring !!!! GO GUNNERS !!!!!
I’m gunna watch this goal 10 more times! I love it!!
no Robin van Persie, William Gallas, og kaptein Cesc Fabregas. the spine.
proud gooner!
a couple of tap ins for bendtner doesn’t hide the fact hes still shite, can’t hold the ball, slow as hell and shit in the air for his height.
Nasri….I will remember the day for you, in case you forget that you arrived at arsenal 09/03/2010. Welcome!!
Fucking excellent.
Such a skillful goal! I kept shouting pass to Diaby, glad he didn’t now! lol.
Fair enough Bendtner scored 2 tap-ins…he played in that position so he should be scoring them! You shoudln’t take anything away from him, his POSITIONING is improving, even though he didn’t score against Burnley his positioning was still good. He’s on the up n hopefully continues.
Obv NASRI was exceptional but i really feel the whole team, each player had a brilliant game. You could actually see a team of footballing players who know each other well n all linked up beautifully. Song…brilliant player game after game.
I can’t stop replying that nasri goal.
Amazing!
krieger, fans like you make me sick. the guy gets a hat-trick and we win 5-0 and you still are on bendtners case.
i’m delighted for him. i’ve always felt he can be a great player, he just needs more composure. he played brilliant tonight i dont care what retards like you say. he held the ball up well and he won alot of headers. and he scored a stunner of a header at stoke that got us back in the game. and he got the first two tonight that set us on our way. so give the guy a break plastic fans. well done bendtner is what i say
come on gooners!!!!
can anyone tell me what the crowd were chanting, it was picked up by the 5live commenatators on the radio – sounded a bit like ‘are you watching …….’ but i couldnt make out the name.
i know its not important – just bugged me is all.
amazing goal – amazing performance. bring on hull!
i was there & cant remember chanting saying ‘are you watching………’ soz m8 unless was at other side of ground
The best arsenal goal I can remember off the top of my head.
A few times henry managed to beat defenders and score, but I always thought it relied more on weak defending, they kind of let him through and he just caught them off guard, but this was something else.
Last two games are the best Ive seen nasri play as well. When we signed him he was known as one of europe’s most promising, but you could say that about 3 or 4 french midfielders, and now I think we’re starting to see that wenger picked the right one to sign. This guy plays a bit like rosicky (tenacious and technically brilliant) but with a bit extra physical strength and balance that is so important in the premiership.
Just got back in from the game !!!! Quality performance all of them (apart from the waiter) MOM – Step forward Nasri!!!! Great performance and fantastic goal!!!! Was especially loving the chants for Ramsey!!!
Question – what happened to the left of the dug out??? saw a load of fans shouting as something or someone??
re: Callum – thanks anyway m8, if i had to put money on it id say ‘are you watching collymore’ i know he’s an arsenal hating git, but his own song? lol
cheers
You’re right – John Cross the mirror journalist was twittering to Collymore about it.
@ Phyllex – copied & pasted from ESPN.
COLLY WOBBLES: Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has been an outspoken critic of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in his radio and newspaper contributions this season, so Gunners fans were quick to taunt him midway through his latest broadcast after the fourth goal crashed past Porto. He could only chuckle at the abuse coming his way.
oh brilliant – thanks guys.
they were shouting “who are ya”
what feeling is better? beating milan at san siro or thrashing porto 5-0?
Wonder goal. Both I think
are great. Just think winning the game is more important than where.
practically, its always nice to win at home with your friends and family. in milan they go out and party but they have to sleep in a hotel room and catch a flight home the next day. at home, they can go straight to the club from the stadium and be home and sleep in their own bed for a few hours sleep before being debriefed and having practice back at the club.
also when you win at home you get more applause – more fans!!
@ krieger: Which game did you watch? Bendtner won almost every header!!!! He had a great overall display. Yes his touching has to improve but come on he is already better as some older strikers like Huntelaar etc. He will bang us to trophies!!! Nasris goal was out of the world!!!
sigh, the elation of the game is now somewhat tempered by the re-emergence of arsenal4ever. I had thought (and hoped) that he had gone for good after the website had reloaded, but I guess I was wrong to hope. Now he’s polluting the Young Guns website like he had Gooner Talk before; yammering on and on to the point that he makes up half of the comments. Where to go to now . . .?
http://younggunsblog.co.uk/2010/03/arsenals-wellington-silva-trusted-for-first-team-role/#comments
Lol. Everyone would miss him if he went cause then there’d be no banter.
i sit right next to the press box, and throughout the whole match, a group of guys behind me were screaming at collymore during the whole game, and every now and then everyone joined in. all the journos were laughing.
a lot of the things were a lot worse than “are you watching collymore”
so funny
to AmeriGoon: An Us idiot slating me? Priceless!!! So go away fu.. idiot
!! If you have read my comments you should have seen most of them have sense. Yes I slated Wenger and I am apologizing for it. I am so desperate for silverware so I lost the plot a bit!!
can anyone confirm who is out for hull match?
people are saying fabregas is 50/50 i say leave him out even if he is fit!
soo far correct me if im wrong the following are out..
fabregas
rosicky
sagna
campbell
it can only be 3 points! hull are 2nd from bottom! northen pikeys!
Cesc is unlikely to be involved, Sagna and Campbell are doubts.
@ arsenal4ever: Your self-reflection is admirable, though a grown man shouldn’t be proud of making sense just “most of the time”. I just wish you’d exhibit the same sort of reflection before posting, because your style is akin to verbal diarrhea. Some quality, instead of quantity would be appreciated. Your knee-jerk comments rarely have any real substance or insight, just screeching, grating overreactions (positive or negative) or lashing out against contrarian points of view. Its just pollution and I have to pick between your nonsense to try to find something insightful.
