Team Predictions: Arsenal v Barcelona
Arsenal can boast the services of William Gallas in defence for tomorrow’s crunch clash against the European Champions Barcelona.
The Frenchman has made a surprise recovery after missing the last 8 games with a troublesome calf injury. Despite the 33-year-old lacking match fitness, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has hinted that he may give a rest to veteran defender Sol Campbell.
“Gallas is in the squad,” said the manager at Tuesday’s press conference. “I have not picked the team yet but he has a chance.
“He looks physically quite good. He has had three days training and I will now have to have a chat with him and then decide.
“But,” he added later, “Sol Campbell has played many games recently and a little breather would be welcome.”
Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas has a “40 per cent” chance of playing tomorrow because of severe bruising, although Andrey Arshavin and Samir Nasri have recovered in time from small knocks.

Come on Eboue ahead of walcott or Rosicky is jst stupid why how many assists or goals has he got to his name to even consider him there? What i see when he plays on the wing is a lost player getting in positions he shouldn’t be, atleast walcott gives the team width but does eboue really do seriously? You want to win this game go for pacey wingers thats ARSHAVIN and WALCOTT.
Think your line up is spot on Gooner Chris… Messi likes to switch sides and generally gets at the defence either side of the pitch, so if he sould try his luck on our right side he will be nailed by our two RB’s. If Fabregas is fit however i’m sure Nasri will get the nod ahead of Eboue at RW.

I think Diaby will start, no matter what, if he is fit. I’m not so sure about Gallas with him not having played a game yet and Wenger hinting yesterday that Campbell would play. I think we’ll have Diaby, Cesc and Song in midfield, Arshavin, Nasri and Bendtner up front and if Cesc doesn’t make it then Nasri will move to midfield and Eboue take his place on the right.

I believe that if Cesc is reasonably fit, he will come on early in the 2nd half, probably for Rosicky. Likewise for Diaby, who I would see replacing Denilson, though I would love to see him start.
Diaby will start no matter what the fitness of Fab. If Fab misses out then i’d expect Nasri to fill in and carry on his good form. Nasri will also start even if Fab is fit but where he plays is dependant on Fabs fitness.
Whilst i’d like the creativity of Asharvin i’m not sure we can cope with his reluctance to ever make an effort to get back. With Messi raiding down that side it may be worth Eboue to play left-side with Asharvin on the right or if Fab is fit Nasri on the right.
Also possibilty of Rosicky on the left because he will help to cope with Messi. Rosiky has an excellent work rate. Plenty of options with or without Fab.
Diaby has to start, period. The way to beat Barca is to retain more ball than they do, and make better use of it. For this reason, Diaby has to be played. He, Nasri, and Fab will be our most important players tomorrow.

i dont think gallas should start. hasnt played in a while and will not be on his game. campbell should start and get him on zlatan.cancel him out. and cesc should start no matter wot. wasnt fit for the villa game but came on and dominated. i think this is the big one above the league.
