Team Predictions: Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Anything can happen in a north London derby, and Arsene Wenger will be hoping that luck goes his way for tonight’s crunch clash with Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has already conceded that defeat this evening against Spurs would end the Gunners’ title aspirations. While Arsenal will be well aware the Spaniard’s comments, Tottenham should also watch out for an offensive weapon set to return to the bench.
Robin van Persie is indeed back.
However, the downside is that Alex Song has been ruled out of the next two games due to an inflamed knee cartilage. The Cameroonian was hoping to return for Wednesday’s derby but he is now likely to miss the weekend’s match against Wigan.
“Song is out. Definitely out,” confirmed Wenger at his pre-match press conference.
“He looks like he will be out for the whole week and over the weekend he will not play as well.”
