Team Predictions: Blackburn Rovers v Arsenal

Arsenal play Blackburn tomorrow in a game which is likely to have an ‘end of season’ feel about it.
The Gunners still haven’t fully secured third place yet, but a point against Blackburn will almost certainly wrap it up with Spurs and Man City lurking closely behind.
Russian maestro Andrey Arshavin is a major doubt to play in Monday’s clash, while Johan Djourou and Kieran Gibbs both took part in training this week, although neither will be considered due to lack of match practice.
“Arshavin has a little chance to be back in the squad. Denilson, Almunia and, of course, Fabregas, Gallas and Vermaelen are all still out.
“Gibbs and Djourou are back in the training squad. So for us it is a good period. We could start the season again!”
“They could figure if they are needed numbers-wise but otherwise they will not play.”
Gooner Talk’s Predicted XI
Fabianski
Sagna – Campbell – Silvestre – Clichy
Nasri – Song – Diaby

We’ll post the confirmed starting line-up when we get it tomorrow evening.

Not a game to be taken lightly. We need to ensure we get third place and don’t faff around against a side who have proven difficult to play against at home. A good, committed performance is required.

—Walcott- Nasri – Song – Vela—-
——van Persie–Bendtner—–
This is the team i would like to see start. I wanna see the Van P & Bendtner partnership

Andrey Arshavin: I’m on my way to Barca
Ben Duffy
Andrey Arshavin says he will quit Arsenal for Barcelona this summer – and reckons team-mate Gael Clichy could follow him.
The Russia midfielder has been a stand-out performer for the Gunners this season.
But he has was rebuked last week by manager Arsene Wenger – who is adamant Arshavin will stay and play a big part in the team next term – for talking up his chances of moving to Spain.
But speaking after that dressing down, and with comments that are sure to further enrage his boss, Arshavin, said: “I am going to Barcelona in the summer.
“I have always dreamed about going to Spain and playing for the best team in the world.
”They were unsure about me when I was playing in Russia but I have shown them that I’m the real deal and I know they are ready to talk to me.
“I want to play for the top team and be trying to win every competition, I don’t think you can rate one better than the other, it is all about winning. I want to play for them and that is never going to change.
“I know Gael Clichy would love to play out there as well, and he would work well in their team.
“It would be tough trying to compete with Xavi and Iniesta but that is the competition I want, I don’t want to walk into a team.”
What to make of this? This surely cannot be true. If it aint true then it is time Arsenal and Arshavin start suing the press!!!!!!
Liverpool are a disgrace.
and another thing,it’s obvious a.a’s heart is not in it at arsenal, let him go.
They all want to leave maybe it should be the french megalomaniac leaving.
Serves Fergie right.
Now he wont sign midfielders even though cesc needs help,he is so stubborn and blind it is sickening, didnt he watch the train wreck our season unfolded into when cesc got injured.
that story is bullshit you guys are such tards for believing it
“The Russia midfielder has been a stand-out performer for the Gunners this season” Hmmmm you know this article is bollocks really. For me, Arshavin has been very dissapointing this season. I wouldn’t shed any tears if him or Clichy both left. Only problem is Wenger signing replacements.
if he really said that, i say we let him go. no use having a passenger anymore like he did in the last few games which he played.
I sauy t wouldn’t be that much of a loss if AA went. Sure on his day h can be world class but those days are too far and few between. If we can get over £15 million for him then we can bring in a proper left winger. I would go for Hazard who wouldn’t cost that much more but has pace, tricks and an eye for goal.
Listen,Arsenal are a train wreck waiting to happen if i had no certain affinity with the team i played for you can rest assured i would rather play in sunny Spain then at a team that is going backwards.A team that is led by the brother of Mr. Clouseau so blind and sickingly stubborn it is killing any development at the club it will another long summer of attrition before we get to finish outside the top 5.
Whether Liverpool is a disgrace, it doesn’t matter to me, we are 3rd English team since 5 years back….when will arrive our day? Today is Chel$$$ki day, nothing else….
I hope a 2-0 tomorrow (RvP & B-52)
the story is obviously not true. arshavin said as much recently. we need to begin the transfer process – chelsea has already done so with aguero, barca with villa. we need to be lining up chamakh, lloris, and a center back NOW.
Whether this is true or not, I really don’t care as this guy had a very poor season and I didn’t see any passion in him this season. He was very nonchalant and I don’t think he wants to be at Arsenal. His real dream is to play for Barcelona so he should just go. Whether he said this or not is not important because his attitude throughout the season spoke louder than his words. He had a disappointing season in my opinion. No player is bigger than the club.
I would like to see this starting team:
Fabianski
Sagna——Campbell—-Sylvestre(desperation)—-Clichy
Song
Nasri——–Diaby
Walcott——–V.Persie——-Bedntner
Hmm instead of Rosicky why don’t we go for Vela ? No offence but really Rosicky has not contributed enough this season, and we don’t really have anything left to play for except for the third place which we are unlikely to lose. The boy has been left rotten on the bench for so long and his talent may be shun without playing. Walcott still have time to prove that he deserves to go to SA. It also would be lovely if Eboue get to play, I would prefer him over Sagna since he give us the creative spark that sometimes (or to be frank, most of the time) we don’t have.
To be honest I no longer care about the remaining matches and can’t wait for this season to be over, looking forward more to the world cup now and to see what Arsene gets up to in the Market.
@Ken:
I think he’s been on the bench due to attitude issues. He pretended to lose his passport after he knew that he wasn’t going to play against Barca at the Nou Camp, so he didnt have to travel with the squad.

Deal for Chamakh already agreed?
Also, Gary Cahill and Yossi Benayoun are both ready to leave Bolton and Liverpool, they’ve both got to be on Wengers radar..?
If he wants 2 live let him go.He might b living coz sees no future in Arsenal coz buying supporting player in Arsenal is now a song.Despie that AW is promising to buy be4 W.Cup,Dont be suprised 2 begin next season with the same players.
