brillant goal!!! Hopefully he will go on from this for next season!! He can be a star at WC!!! I dont get the hype about Smalling!! Didnt see the whole game but he wasnt that good. Djourou looks for me a way better player!!!!

Yeah, we need to see more of this kind of quality next season. Chamakh, Van Persie, Bendtner and Vela. Not bad. Wonder what will happen with Simpson?

Smalling was poor, passed direct to touch a few times. Most goals came via his side.

The 10 minutes that we saw of Lansbury looked good. I know Watford are keen to take him back on loan again next season and I think we can see why. He started 31 games for Watford and made 3 further appearances from the bench, bagging himself 5 goals on the way. He scored 4 at Scunthorpe the year before, after only making 16 appearances. His touch and awareness looks sharp, plus he’s only 19, so he’s definately got time on his side. Granted, he came on when we were in control of the game but I think he looked promising. I’m sure there will be a few Championship sides battling to get him on loan come next season.

Lol. Yeah, Vela may need to mix his game up a bit. I think if Lansbury and JET go on loan again, it should be in the Premier League, they’ve shown they can cut it in the Championship already.

I don’t want or think jet or lansbury to go on loan. I would rather have these two in our match day squads rather than sicknote rosicky and denilson. These two english arsenal supporting players know what it means to play for arsenal. They would die for the cause. Just like any other fan. We need more of these boys coming through.
On another note i hear that zak anash arsenal under 16 player, sayin he is a man u fan and how he loves the fact they always beat us. Well zak. Fuck off and go play for them mate. Coz if I was in charge of that team I wouldn’t be playing u ever again. No matter how good u are. (sorry about that. Just can’t stand things like this)

Agreed. Its one thing have players who support another team, its another when they mouth off like that no matter what age level they are. Hate to be a broken record, but did anyone watch the ‘lap of honour’ after the match? Interested not only if Chamakh was there, but also moods of the players. With a few of the lads linked with moves away, wondered if there were any Flamini-esque waves to the crowd?

Let’s hope A few of those players did wave good bye. Coz if I was arsene at least 5 would be out the door. Regarding chamakh we are really close. According to wenger on sky sports. Can’t wait to see who he brings in over the summer months. I’m more excited about this than I have been all year. Just hope I’m not as let down as I have been all season.

Hate to be a kill joy but whats the point in making a whole topic on vela scoring?? We’ll never win anything if we have players like him in the 1st team.. he’s just another one of those we have with no hunger, no heart & no passion for this club.

On another note, im glad this season is finally over so we get the chance to put things right were it needs to be. Many said before the season even started that this team would not win nowt & me with them were unfourtuently right.

Lets hope there is big changes next yr with both the players we do have & players comming in. We need to show more heart, determination & start playing for eachother, not just for one or two games but for the whole season & onwards.

Ricky you are wrong if you say Vela has no passion, that is just ludicrous, as Mexicanos are known for their passion. As for you Angry man Arsene is already making excuses about not really doing much. Oh yes he says he wants experiance, but the team needs a real GM to make those calls with him.
As for Gallas, two years and a raise? Sounds like he should have sold Galls and kept Kolo Toure. Gallas is a fie palyer but if he can get two years and a Hundred thousand a week, well more power to him, and lets go laugh at the fools who he thinks will give him that. It ain’t happening…We have plenty of strikers, but Vela should have been playing more then Dudu who clerly has lost a step and not recovered his form. sounds cruel but thats how the game is. Chamakh is nice because Van Persie has never completed a season, but they need a keeper badly and two defenders. Rosicky is not someone who shouod start, and if you can get money for him, adios.

  19. an arse worth having says:

@ Marty Its difficult to assess some of the players, Rosicky inc., who a) are coming back from injury and b) having to play more defensively because of the lack of balance between defence and attack that exists in the team. The same with Denilson, he has to play DM when Song’s injured cause we have no specialist back-up. In 2 years or so I reckon Eastmond will be the perfect cover, but Denilson will suffer until Wenger uses him in the Diaby role and we will probably suffer cause he won’t buy a Y. Toure or an Inler.

this annoys me so much. Arshavin, injured half the season, vela out for a good portion and then persie out for 2/3 of the seasons nd then the last season when Nothing matters, we flaw it. oh well, cant be injuries every season, come on lads.

Vela is amazing, I can’t wait for next season. Congrats to Chelski, i for one wouldn’t have liked to see Manure lifting that trophy for a record fourth time. Hope next season we try harder, for us to do that we gonna need a goalie with Lehmann’s attitude, and a defender in case Gallas leaves besides that we are OK in most positions. My 18 man squad next season should be:

    new Goal-keeper-? subs: Almunia
    Diaby
    Sagna Gallas Vermaelen Clichy denilson
    Ramsey
    Eboue
    Walcott Song Cesc Arshavin Djourou
    Nasre
    Chamakh Van Persie Gibs

    A. Vela is not amazing, he may well turn out to be one day but at the moment is potential. B. How do you know he has no passion for the club? You can tell that by the way he sits on the bench? Surely the way he celebrated yesterday showed that he loved scoring for The Arsenal?

    @Lil Gooner:

We get it – you think Vela is amazing. What is amazing is that he only ever scores on chip shots in meaningless games. I was one of the masses who thought he was brilliant too and then saw him in games that meant something and he was invisible and missed shots right and left. He needs to go out on loan again or be sold, as he is just not ready to become a first-team player, this cheap in a meaningless game aside.

Look at Chelsea, 8-0 win today against Wigan. That is unfortunately how you take the title, not losing 3-2 to Wigan. Anyone who thinks we were just one injury away is just naive. We need a top class goalkeeper, another top class CB, and a top class striker (Chamakh is fine I guess, not exactly top class though). This is a minimum.

    a) so we are going to once again have silvestre and campbell for cover again? are we counting on djourou to stay fit? you must be joking. you have 15 attacking players, that doesnt win titles. we need more defenders, more cover.

    b) you cannot count on ramsey to be in the first team. he is coming off a ridiculously bad broken leg. see how long it took eduardo, rvp, rosicky all to come back to true form.

    c) denilson, walcott, diaby are really not first team material.

@American Gooner: I understand fully to what you are saying American Gooner, But in reality we are not spenders. I won’t be amazed by seeing only Chamakh and maybe a goalie next season. I think Wenger thinks that we were let down by injuries this season so he will be hoping that we don’t go through the same situation next season, thats the reason why he won’t spend much. Thats what I think but at the same time I would love to see him spend much next season.

I would, too. I guess Arsene is insane (aka, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results). Our players are always injured, we always give the “would have, could have” excuses, etc. Shame.

PLAYERS TO BE PURCHASED IN SUMMER:

    GK: BUUFON / JOE HART
    DEFENCE: GARY CAHILL (BOLTON)
    MIDFIELD: MAROUANNE FELIANI (EVERTON)
    STRIKER: CHAMAKH / LORIK REMY

THATS ALL WE NEED 4 PLAYERS!…..1 OF WHICH IS FREE!! WE NEED STRENGTH IN DEPTH. LOOK AT CHELSEA SO MANY NAMES IN THE SQUAD. WE GOT A GREAT TEAM NOT A GREAT SQUAD.

ORDER A TAXT FOR: SILVESTRE AND EDUARDO (HURTS ME WRITE EDDIE BUT THIS IS TOP LEVEL AND HE HASNT CUT IT THIS YEAR AND IS NOW BEHIND RVP, CHAMAKH AND BENDY)

You know the old saying mate, those who do not hear must feel or another one in arsene’s case, what you put in is what you get out in the end so if he goes another 3 yrs without winning anything (which i think he will do with this current team) then all he’s past achievements will be sadly forgotten & he’ll be walking out the doors on a sour note & i myself will not feel sorry for the man.
