Deadline Day: Arsenal’s confirmed ins & outs

Arsene Wenger is yet to get out his chequebook on Transfer Deadline Day as the Premier League’s total January spending goes past the £100 million mark.

The Frenchman wasn’t expecting to do business today, but refused to rule out the possibility bringing any players in, prompting the Arsenal rumour mills to go into full throttle.

Most Gooners weren’t expecting any signings, although Southampton’s teenage prodigy Alex Chamberlain has been the subject of much speculation. However, talks between the Saints and Arsenal have finally broken down.

From AndyHa on Twitter: “Being an Arsenal fan on deadline day is like being in detention at school and watching other kids play outside!”

As expected, several young Gunners have been shipped out on loan, while Nacer Barazite’s move to Austria Vienna has finally been completed.

The Transfer Window closes at 23:00 (GMT) in England.

You can check out the January ins and outs below:

Players Signed:

Ryo Miyachi (Undisclosed)
Wellington Silva (Undisclosed)

Players Out:

Nacer Barazite (Signed for Austria Vienna on a free transfer)
Gavin Hoyte (Re-joined Lincoln on loan until end of season)

Name says it all. Envious seeing other clubs buying top talent. Although at a hugely inflated price

At the risk of sounding like a spoilt fan, cherry picking the best players in europe, It can’t do us any arm to bring in Hazard and Sakho.
Both want to join, and may do in the summer. They would deffinately improve our squad and solve some issues in big games if we pick up any more injuries.
My guess is, wenger will wait till the summer. Given our current dilema, i hope we don’t look back in the summer and regret not bringing them in.

Can we at least get rid of almunia, SHEA is far better than him. And Fabiansky should be back for march. THE thing is that our biggest threat to our defence is almunia.

What’s happened with Samuel Galindo? He seems to have been forgotten. Is he still at Salamanca on loan?

Im gutted we aint doing any spring cleaning.
And how the hell can spurs afford £45 million euros on bidding for aguero.
I think tottenham will still land another striker.
    My guess: Karim Benzema.
And how did david luiz recieve a permit to play in this country? And our players did not.
Liverpool are crazy though. Caroll is a good player but £35+???

I am totally at a Loss. Hope the no signings plan by Mr Wenger does not come back to haunt him at the end of the season ? I personally think the only trophy we could lift this year is the Carling cup nothing else. Mind you the board should be very happy with his no spending plan.

Wenger’s arrogance in the transfer market will cost us again …….. Thing that upsets me is we are meant to have more money than most in the kitty ….. Someone needs to tell AW its not his own cash and spend some… if we win nothing again this year as much as he has done for us …… TAXI for WENGER

just cos liverpool signed LUIZ AND CARROL,now most fans are slagging off wenger.
Like i always say, most arsenal fans are apthetic.
THE SAME STUFF HAPPENED YEARS BACK WHEN LIVERPOOL RAFA BENITEZ WAS SIGNING PLAYERS,.WHAT HAPPENED,THEY DID NOT EVEN MAKE 4TH PLACE.

we must believe in our manager and players, panic buying is not the best…
we have a great squad in depth and i believe we will come good at th end of the season.

ARSENAL DONT EVEN NEED TO SIGN PLAYERS FOR THE NEXT 4YRS ,BY THE TIME ALL OUR PLAYERS ON LOAN GAIN EXPERIENCE AND ARE READY FOR THE FIRST SQUAD like JACK WILSHERE .

WHEN WE WIN GAMES ,OOH WENGER IS A GENUIS,WHEN WE PLAY BADLY OOOH WENGER IS THIS AND THAT ,AND NEEDS TO GO, WE HAVE THE BEST MANAGER IN THE WORLD.

WHILE LIVEFOOLS AND JETS KI’S ARE PAYING OVER THE ODDS FOR NORMAL PLAYERS ,

THE MIGHTY ARSENAL WILL SOON BE PAYING OFF THEIR STADIUM.

WE MUST TRUST OUR PLAYERS IN GOOD ,BAD AND UGLY.

all i can say is, we were promised that the only reason we left our beloved highbury is to compete at an elite level with real madrid and barca.
We cant even compete with liverpool.
Fact is that some of the players do need replacing ASAP yet we wont even buy one player.
    I for one feel conned

All of you fans should be ashamed of yourselves. Disrespecting our club coz chelshit splashed some cash and we didnt. Were competing in 4 cups so far and have a good team balance. Also, wenger has done so much for this club so we should repay him with some faith…

p.s: I am 16 years old and know more about football than most of the pathetic arsenal fans here who dont cheer their team on at the emirates. When I go, it sounds like my school library.

On the Forbes top 25 richest football clubs in the world, Arsenal are 3rd, IN THE WHOLE WORLD, when I see clubs like liverpool, tottenham bidding over 35 million for players it makes me sick, of course we dont need to spend massive amounts of money, but for the love of god, our team would be magnificent if we simply bought a new keeper, 2 defenders, and a midfield enforcer, just a few bloody players !!! every transfer months we sit and watch as other teams build and build, and we just watch with envy, at the moment we have a very good team, but we’d be a great team with just a few signings :(

    @ ed
They make a superstar signing every year, sometimes two
    Villa, mascherano
    Chigerynsky,Dani alves
    Alexander hleb
    Thierry Henry……
I know sum don’t work out but they still give it a go
    Also @ loyal fan
U r probably too young to have supported arsenal when they had good teams.
I’ve seen them go the whole season only losing one game and also none at all.
Now they were teams with “balance” as they could attack AND DEFEND!!!

@the left hand of henry, i wasnt that young and I have seen them too and have been brought up playing and watching beautiful football… I do miss the days when Henry just eased past players unlike the players we have now but the crowd do have to encourage the team instead of booing every time a player makes a mistake…

The whole lot of you are an emabarrasment to Arsenal F.C.. This obsession with buying players is the press trying to rile you up (and they always succeed). We have a great young squad of players that WILL ABSOLUTELY win lots of trophies overt the next 10 years. We have lots of homegrown English talent (3 that WILL start for England for the next while in Wilshire, Walcott and Gibbs and 1 A-O C that will probably come in the summer).
This is a business and we do better business than anyone else. Our model has kept us in the top 4 during our rebuilding years and ensured us success for some time to come. We are so close to being one of the best teams in the world and you lot would like to throw it all away buy spending all the money we have and getting rid of kids that we invested in…CRAZY!
I think we will break the bank for Hazzard and maybe a young back in the summer and if we add that to our CHAMPIONSHIP side then how dangerous are we going to be?
Think about it…you support the business model of Spuds and Chelski.
