Arsenal let four goal lead slip against Newcastle
Newcastle scored four second half goals to put a dent in Arsenal’s title hopes and secure arguably the comeback of the season.
The travelling Arsenal supporters were in dreamland after Theo Walcott, Johan Djourou and Robin Van Persie saw the Gunners go three up in under ten minutes.
Robin van Persie scored a fourth for the Gunners before the half time whistle saved the Magpies from more of a mauling. The second half was an entirely different game as the Toon Army battled back into the proceedings. The home side were helped by Abou Diaby who foolishly lashed out at Joey Barton and was sent off.
Temperamental Barton scored a penalty soon after and then Leon Best scored a second to give Newcastle a lifeline. Then Joey Barton put away another spot kick before Cheick Tioté levelled an amazing game.
