Loan move looking increasingly likely for Bendtner
|Arsenal have yet to receive a suitable offer for wantaway striker Nicklas Bendtner and with no club currently prepared to stump up the Gunners’ £12million asking price, a loan spell looks increasingly likely.
The future of the 23-year-old has been of some speculation in recent months, due to a lack of playing time and being played out of position when given a rare opportunity.
Other reports have suggested that Bendtner could be used as a makeweight in a deal for Bolton defender Gary Cahill, while the Dane himself has rejected offers from Italy and Germany.
Bendtner still has three years left on his current contract at Arsenal, though it is expected that Arsene Wenger will not stand in the player’s way if a suitable offer is received.
Meanwhile, Gooner Talk will have an exclusive interview with Arsenal Supporters’ Trust chief Tim Payton tomorrow afternoon. Tim will be addressing all the big issues from Arsenal’s ownership, the future of Cesc Fabregas, to the transfer market and much, much more. Don’t miss it.
Great!!!….really looking forward to that….
the sooner the better as far as I’m concerned.
bendtner should stay, we need all the strikers we can get if wenger doesnt sign anyone
loan move to bolton will do wonders for him
should loan him, theres not a lot of 22 year old strikers better than him and I think he will only get better
he has already had a loan move to bham dont forget guys. i feel altho he is still only 22 his time at arsenal is up and he needs to be realistic and join a club where he will play week in week out even if he isnt scoring goals.
Owen Coyle will find it hard not to take Bendtner on loan in a deal for selling us Gaz Cahill. We can’t afford to wait another year for Cahill. We need him and need him now. The lad is ripe for European football. Him and Samba will steel up that defence.
