The London derby: Arsenal favourites at Stamford Bridge?

In-form Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend to take on Chelsea, and the good news is that their arch rivals will be without the suspended Didier Drogba.

He has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances against Arsenal in all competitions and their record against Chelsea with him playing is W1 D3 L10.

However when he has not played Arsenal have won two, drawn one and lost none!

That is a key stat, and although Arsenal have won none of their last eight Premier League matches what better way is there to put that right than by beating Chelsea on their own patch.

OK, the Gunners current losing run on the road is there worst since 1992, and they have not gone nine without a win since April 1988.

But they are now really beginning to find their stride after a poor start to the season and are now marching up the table after winning their last 3 games

They also have a certain striker in Robin van Persie who is quite simply in the form of his life.

The Dutchman is simply too hot handle at the moment and has now scored an incredible 25 goals in 26 Premier League appearances in 2011.

He also scored two when the Gunners last won away at Chelsea back in November 2008, and given his current form there must be a good chance of history repeating itself.

At 3.3 with Boylesports to score anytime during the 90 minutes he looks way too big a price and has to be worth a punt.

In what looks sure to be a very hard fought London derby it would be no surprise to see both sides score, but who scores first will not necessarily determine the final outcome.

Arsenal have actually beaten Chelsea six times after falling behind to the Blues in the Premier League, while the Pensioners have only come back to win once after trailing against the Gunners.

Given Drogba’s absence, I fancy Arsenal to win and the 6 on offer with Betfred and Victor Chandler is surely to big.

If you fancy a punt on the correct score market I would suggest a small investment on 2-1 at a tasty looking 21 with Betfred.
