The London derby: Arsenal favourites at Stamford Bridge?
|In-form Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend to take on Chelsea, and the good news is that their arch rivals will be without the suspended Didier Drogba.
He has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances against Arsenal in all competitions and their record against Chelsea with him playing is W1 D3 L10.
However when he has not played Arsenal have won two, drawn one and lost none!
That is a key stat, and although Arsenal have won none of their last eight Premier League matches what better way is there to put that right than by beating Chelsea on their own patch.
OK, the Gunners current losing run on the road is there worst since 1992, and they have not gone nine without a win since April 1988.
But they are now really beginning to find their stride after a poor start to the season and are now marching up the table after winning their last 3 games
They also have a certain striker in Robin van Persie who is quite simply in the form of his life.
The Dutchman is simply too hot handle at the moment and has now scored an incredible 25 goals in 26 Premier League appearances in 2011.
He also scored two when the Gunners last won away at Chelsea back in November 2008, and given his current form there must be a good chance of history repeating itself.
At 3.3 with Boylesports to score anytime during the 90 minutes he looks way too big a price and has to be worth a punt.
In what looks sure to be a very hard fought London derby it would be no surprise to see both sides score, but who scores first will not necessarily determine the final outcome.
Arsenal have actually beaten Chelsea six times after falling behind to the Blues in the Premier League, while the Pensioners have only come back to win once after trailing against the Gunners.
Given Drogba’s absence, I fancy Arsenal to win and the 6 on offer with Betfred and Victor Chandler is surely to big.
If you fancy a punt on the correct score market I would suggest a small investment on 2-1 at a tasty looking 21 with Betfred.
You must be joking. As a Superior Chelsea supporter, we’re going to blast you into next week. Chelsea hero, Bruce Bruck is correct we’re going to crush you to pieces.
4-0 to Superior Chelsea (We’ve always been better than Arsenal)
Torres hat-trick and Mata to knock the final nail in Wenger’s coffin.
This is a fixture which will see how far arsenal have improved. In a normal season this would be a top rated clash. This year the poor start has applied more pressure to the team. I would be happy to see the team come away with a draw against top 4 opposition. A good display tomorrow will confirm that arsenal are on course to challenge for a top 4 spot. If TV5 plays the defence will be better and could provide a solid base from which to get a point out of the match.
Sorry by this time tomorrow all yee goners’ll be weeping after being at the receiving end of Chelsea’s gunfire @the bridge. Chelsea3-1Arsenal FT
Chelsea 1 Arsenal 3 is my prediction and goals being expected from RVP, Gervinho, Ramsey and Walcott!
I think it’s very bold to predict that we will win this game. Lets not forget our recent performances havn’t been great by any means and our away record in big games is apalling. this is the best side we’ve faced since the drubbing in manchester and i don’t think we’ve improved enough in the last month to convince me we’ll come away with 3 ponts. Quite simple for me, if they keep RVP quiet then Chelsea will win this quite comfortably.
come on arsenal
Guys (arsenal & chelsea supporters – in order of historical importance) Lets hope for a good game tomorrow… and maybe even an arsenal win! ; )
The first chav poster on this blog should realise that his club was saved from going under in 2003 by the Russian Gangster. Did you also know that Ken Bates bought your club for 1 freaking quid? Thats the value of the chavs – Juan quid. Small Fulham club. We have 13 league titles to your 4 which too were acquired for a billion pounds. Win 9 more league titles while we stand still and you can tell me you are as big a club as us. Muppet.
i have never been happier in my life. LONG LIVE THE CAPTAIN!
Congratulations to Arsenal all fans! It was a great win and there is also room to improve 🙂

Close, except Arsenal blasted Chel$ki to pieces, and Robin Van Problem got the hat-trick. Good effort by Superiour Chel$ki though. Maybe next time. And try not to mouth off so much next time, you might just end up looking as stupid. Again.
