PICTURE: Szczesny kisses van Persie’s boot!

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny showed his appreciation for team-mate Robin van Persie after the Dutchman’s winner against Everton – by kissing the captain’s deadly left foot!

Szczesny, 21, has become a fans favourite since establishing himself as Arsenal’s no.1 shot stopper last season, and emphasised his passion for the club following last week’s win at Wigan by singing with the supporters.

van Persie himself is leading the Gunners’ scoring charts with 19 goals to his name in all competitions this season, drawing plaudits from legends in the game including former Arsenal captain Thierry Henry.

Arsenal marked their 125th birthday with a 1-0 win against Everton earlier. Read our match summary and give your view on the game here.

Ha-a. Ha! Ain’t szcecsny just funny. It’s stuff like this that makes us love the players and enjoy the good times. When players are playful like this one gets a good vibe of good team spirit.

haha, Brilliant! Gotta love that Pole between the poles! Fantastic goal from RVP too, looked like he wasn’t having the best of games today and then he produced that moment of magic, and that’s all it takes from a player like him!
Great way to celebrate the 125th anniversary, such a proud day for the club. You can watch the full video of the unveiling of Henry’s statue at the link below by the way!

There is nothing more vital to the Gunners at the moment than keeping Van Persie. All this talk about Madrid and City wanting him should make sure that Wenger does all he can to sign him into a long term contract ASAP.
