Generous Szczesny picks up tab for children’s party

At 21-year-old, Wojciech Szczesny has firmly cemented his place as Arsenal’s no.1 goalkeeper and is already one of the fans’ favourites at Emirates Stadium.

The Polish international’s impressive performances and celebrations coming off the back of last season have made him one of the most popular members of Arsenal’s squad.

So it’s no surprise that the shot stopper showed his generosity whilst dining out at a north London restaurant last week, where a 20-strong children’s party was also present.

The shot stopper posed for photos with groups of the kids, and went one step further after he finished his meal by picking up the tab for the whole group – leaving before they could even thank him.

Wojciech Szczesny – one of football’s good guys.

Arsenal are favourites to finish third

Bookmakers make Arsenal 1.36 shots to beat Aston Villa at the Emirates, and it’s not surprising that they are long odds-on given that they are currently the form side in the Premiership.

The Gunners made it six wins in a row with a 1-0 victory at Everton on Wednesday when they went for the hosts from the start, got an early goal from Thomas Vermaelen and battled to protect it.

It was a very pleasing performance, especially as many of their victories this has have been come from behind affairs, and showed that they were discovering their form in all departments.

Former Arsenal midfielder Fabrice Muamba in ‘serious condition’ after collapsing on pitch

Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba required CPR after collapsing on the pitch during Bolton’s FA Cup sixth-round tie against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Former Arsenal midfielder Muamba collapsed on the pitch on 42 minutes and both sets of medical teams spent several minutes attempting to resuscitate him using CPR and a defibrillator.

Muamba was eventually carried off the pitch to applause as doctors continued attempt to resuscitate him, while players from both sides appeared greatly distressed.

Minutes later the match was abandoned.

The 23-year-old was born in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa, but came to Britain at an early age with his family. He graduated through the youth ranks at Arsenal, and was a regular for England at Under-21 level.
