Arteta & Cazorla ‘best passers’ in the Premier League

Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla are joint top Premier League passers, according to EA Sports Player Performance Index.

The Spanish duo have completed the most passes in their opponent’s half so far, with summer signing Cazorla averaging less than two minutes per pass completed.

Cazorla completed passes in opponent’s half: 384
Arteta completed passes in opponent’s half: 357

French frontman Olivier Giroud has struggled for goals since joining from Montpellier in June. His 18 attempts at goal so far have resulted in one goal, although just 44% of his shots were on target.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has seen his side lose their last two games and will be hoping that the Spaniards’ successful pass completion rate can be converted into three points tomorrow against Queens Park Rangers.

Arsenal may have the best passers and best team .Results count. Teams are judged on whether they win games . I don’t care if Arsenal have the worst defence, but if they can win games ,fans will be happy.
Btw,Wenger once said fans come to see pretty soccer ie endless passing. He shd know fans care whether the gunners win games.

They pass but they stand still. The game is about movement. It’s about getting the ball forward by passing it or carrying it. Movement with and off the ball causes chaos in defences. That is how Fab/Hleb/Rosicky did it–not by passing and standing there. Arsenal will win nothing unless these are replaced with CMs who move— they could get the message of course! Even so Diaby/Ramsey/Jack/Coq/Ox/Rosicky offer much more in terms of movement and rotation. I would prefer Cazola wide instead of Pod. A front three of Caz/Wally/Arteta– if you could get them moving– could be interesting!!!

I don’t like the defence look at currently. We clearly need reinforcement at the left back, back up for the creative role, arshavin should be remain in fitness level to back up santi. But well yeah who em I, just like that greedy PHW said ““Thanks for your support and interest in our affairs.”…sick

The best passer is Per Mert. He was at 97% at half time against Scha. He is very confident on the ball( better than all the defenders in Arsenal). They all look for him to give the ball and he is always forward looking.
