Walcott's late winner sends Arsenal into fifth round

A late goal from substitute Theo Walcott sent Arsenal into the FA Cup fifth round in a 3-2 victory against Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.

Summer signing Olivier Giroud had twice given Arsene Wenger’s side the lead but the North Londoners were pegged back on both occasions by Gus Poyet’s well-drilled men through goals from Ashley Barnes and debutant Leonardo Ulloa.

The result was harsh on the Seagulls, who had knocked out Newcastle in the previous round, but Arsenal showed fighting spirit of their own as the Gunners aim to win their first trophy in eight years.

Once again we concede after a set piece. Mertesecker has to be the softest big man in football. The Polish keeper is stuck on the line. If blind man Wenger and semi blind Bould are going to stick with zonal marking for another game they are stupid also. This is killing our soft defending. We need some steel, some leadeship, some heart, some tough tackling defenders that have guts and will. This cant go on any longer. We would get scored on if we played againts the Arsenal womens team.
