Higuain

Arsenal are prepared to offer ‘as much as £25 million’ to sign Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Reports emanating from Spain claim that the Gunners have leapfrogged Italian giants Juventus in the race to sign the wantaway Argentine international.

The 25-year-old told Real officials after the club’s last game of the season that he was looking to leave, six seasons after joining from River Plate.

Gunners boss Wenger is desperate to sign an established striker this summer and believes that Higuain has ‘all the qualities’ to lead the line for the club next season.

Meanwhile, Wenger is said to be reluctant to offer Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini more than £70,000-a-week after recent reports linked the Belgian with a move to Emirates Stadium.

Highly-rated Fellaini is among ‘three to four’ big name players who are being looked at by Arsenal, with Wenger expected to spend most of the rumoured £80m transfer war chest available to him this summer.

This is the signing…. Higuin and then Fellaini woluld do it. Perhaps Cesar and see what happens with Sagna? Next season I reckon Cesc will come back, all depends on the crowd at Barca. The game I saw v Sevilla they were all over him every time he touched the ball. He is a fool cus he was adored at he Emirates

Hope the signing of Higuain an Fellaini goes through. And if we can get a good experienced keeper like Julio Cesar/ Mark Schwarzer along with a center back it should be good. Then we will have atleast 2 players competing for each and every position on the pitch. L.Podolski/Gerviniho Giroud/Higuian* T Walcott/Ox Cazorola/Wilshere/Rosicky Wilshere/Ramsey/Fellaini*/Arteta/Diaby/Coquellin N Monreal/Gibbs Sagna**/Jenkinson T.Vermallen/L Koscielny/Mertasacker/C.B*/I.Miguel szczesny/cesar*

Gonzalo would be a great sigining. He would easily get you 20+ goals per season, we only got 17 with Giroud and one less with Poldi, so we need an outstanding striker. £25m is around about the right price – sign him up, Mr. Wenger!

He wont offer fellaini more than 70k but hes happy to pay ramsey 50k? Fellaini is 5 times better than him! Oh well thats another world class player not coming to Arsenal! Id love to be proven wrong but wenger will leave it too long to sign higuain. We need to buy big and pay top wages. Gazidis has said we can pay £200k per week so there is no excuses now. But we all know it wont happen!
