Sagna weighing up options following interest from Liverpool
Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna will meet with his agent next week and potentially make a decision on his future at the club.
The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has failed to agree terms of an extension to stay on with Arsene Wenger’s side.
Several European sides including Inter Milan are interested in signing the French international, while Liverpool remain keen on bringing Sagna to Anfield as a replacement for Glen Johnson.
“I’ve been playing there for seven years and I hope we will end up on something good”, Sagna told reporters in December.
“First of all I want to finish as champion because we have got a good opportunity to do it this year, and after we will see.”
Wenger recently hinted that his hopes of keeping Sagna at the club are fading after admitting there has been minimal progress towards since he was offered an extension.
Sagna, who remains the club’s first choice right-back, has made over 200 appearances for Arsenal since joining the north Londoner’s from Auxerre in 2007.
Both Sagna and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski look likely to leave Emirates Stadium this summer with the latter also rejecting a contract extension due to lack of playing time.
