Bacary Sagna has given Arsenal supporters fresh belief that he could be about to stay at the club.

The French right-back is out-of-contract next month and has been in talks with both Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain in recent weeks.

However, Sagna offered some words of encouragement following the FA Cup final win over Hull City and admitted that his future has still not been decided.

“I don’t know. I’ve been talking with the club for a long time and we’ll try to find a solution.”

Amazing, Wenger wants to offer Fredinand 100k and won’t budge on giving Arsenal’s most consistent player for 5 years now, the same. Find another club Bacary, that’s insulting!!!!!!

Great if he stays, but truth is, we SHOULD NOT give him a 3 years £100k a week deal. He’s past his best, was woeful last season, and has been at fault for numerous goals this season by not tracking back. If he goes, we buy, someone younger and faster. If he stays, he will play less and less until replaced.

Sagna is one among the best defenders in Arsenal who can play all the defensive positions

Sagna is a true professional who gives 100% in all games. He deserves another contract and everybody saw how much Arsenal meant to him today when celebrating our victory over Hull in the FA Cup Final. I sincerely hope he will still be wearing an Arsenal shirt next season.

The second hardest working goober (after Rambo), energetic over 90minutes, good fitness and good balance between attacking and defending. It seems a matter of number of years rather than wage so I really hope arsenal will meet his demands stability is important if we are to build on from this years position.

For his loyalty it is the least Arsenal can do to tie him down with a good contract.
He gave his all every match and stayed when others left with no hesitation. He is like a marquee signing.

As much as I love Bac, £100k a week is too much for a 31y/o right back, and if it truly is about money then I think it is the time to say thank you and use the money to get a younger replacement.

Welcome relief IF he does stay. As regard to above comment from Bacary then Why tell your team mates before FA Cup game you are leaving them for MAN CITY! Maybe another traitor bites the dust

And strenghten man city more in that process.

Move on. Aurier a better long term prospect. If sagna stays he won’t be happy. Sagna an accomplished player, but not brilliant, and he certainly won’t be in 2-3 years . Airier also better cover as centre back Let’s focus our budget on a world class striker and defensive midfielder.
