Santi Cazorla has received criticism from TV pundit Richard Keys and former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini after scoring a ‘Panenka’-style penalty against Newcastle on Saturday.

The Spaniard put in a match-winning performance with two goals as Arsenal beat Alan Pardew’s side 4-1 but it was Cazorla’s penalty which has surprisingly caused upset among a section of the media.

While Arsenal fans across the world enjoyed Cazorla’s cheeky chip past Magpies ‘keeper Jak Alnwick, former Sky Sports pundit Richard Keys slammed the former Malaga man for ‘disrespecting’ the 21-year-old.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham shot stopper Carlo Cudicini launched a similar attack on Cazorla via Twitter, suggesting that he wouldn’t have tried the skill if his team weren’t in a comfortable position.

Perhaps Santi should have smashed it, Richard? Right?
