Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali will undergo a medical and sign a four-year contract with Arsenal on Friday.

One of the stars of the recent U17 World Cup, Nwakali has finally seen his move to Emirates Stadium come to fruition after being granted a visa and work permit clearance.

The youngster has been quoted as saying it’s a ‘dream come true’ to be joining Arsenal and ‘having the opportunity to work with a great manager like Arsene Wenger’

“I am going to Arsenal to work and try to be the best I can”, Nwakali told the Nigerian Tribune.

“With God anything is possible, to work hard to justify my claim for first team football.”

Nwakali, who will initially link-up with the Gunners’ academy, is part of a double deal which will see Nigeria team-mate Samuel Chukwueze arrive in the coming month.

He’s also requested the no.25 shirt, made famous by former Arsenal striker and Nigeria legend Kanu.
