Arsenal confirm midfielder has signed new long-term contract

Arsenal have confirmed the contract extension of Romanian youth international Vlad Dragomir, as per the club’s official website.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has been a regular with the under-18s and is tipped for a big future at the club and having signed his first ever professional contract, looks set to continue his development under the tutelage of Thierry Henry and Andries Jonker.

Dragomir initially signed his scholarship for Arsenal in the summer of 2015 for a mere £100,00 from ACS Timisoara and is well known for his ability in the final third, with his eye for goal and vision in picking out a pass well highlighted by the Gunners’ scouts.

The Romanian can operate in a role similar to that of Arsenal starlet Jon Toral – who is currently spearheading the midfield operating just in behind the striker but can also operate on the right side of midfield.

Dragomir has featured regularly with the first-team in training sessions and is expected to make his breakthrough with the under-21s in the coming months.
