Bayern Munich in pole position to sign 18-year-old Arsenal target

Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich and Arsenal have supposedly been keeping a close eye on Italian starlet Gabriele Corbo, and with the promising 18-year-old being serious hot property at Serie B outfit Spezia Calcio, German outlet TZ – as per a report published by talkSPORT – understands that the Bavarians are in pole position to sign the flourishing centre-back in the summer.

An asset to Spezia’s youth set-up, Corbo is yet to make a full senior debut for his employers, however the teenager’s lack of first-team experience hasn’t deterred the likes of Bayern and the Gunners from lodging their respective interests in his notable services.

Corbo is also a valued member of the Italian developments ranks and has won junior caps for the Azzurri’s Under-17 and Under-18 contingents, and as his skills continue to develop, it’s thought that the youngster could become one of his nation’s brightest stars in the future.

With many notable heavyweights supposedly monitoring his growth, it would presumably be difficult for the fledgling centre-half to ignore the temptation of a switch to the Premier League and the Emirates, however it appears that those in north-London vying to capture his signature will have to up their recruitment game swiftly and effectively.

It’s said that Corbo is edging closer to agreeing personal terms with Der FCB, and if Arsenal are to rival their staunch European counterparts, they’ll certainly need to table an alluring contractual offer in order to lure the highly sought-after wonderkid away from a move to the Allianz Arena.
