‘He was really good’, some Arsenal fans are impressed with 22-year-old’s cameo vs Lyon

Arsenal suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Lyon in the Emirates Cup on Sunday, but the supporters were still impressed with the brief cameo from summer signing Dani Ceballos.

The Spanish midfielder only joined the club on a season-long loan from Real Madrid a few days ago, but he was still able to feature for the final 20 minutes against Les Gones, where he impressed with his range of passing.

Ceballos could not help the Gunners avoid defeat on the day, but he produced a flawless performance which has got the Gunners fans excited about the impact he could have when the new season begins.

Here are a few reactions on Twitter…..

With just a couple of days of training under his belt, Ceballos looked comfortable operating from the centre of the park and he nearly managed to put Aubameyang through on goal with a long-range pass which was intercepted by the opposition defender.

The north London giants have two more friendlies against Angers and Barcelona and the games should offer Ceballos with more minutes to prepare himself for the Premier League opener against Newcastle United on the road.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette suffered an injury scare during the recent meeting against his former club, but manager Unai Emery has said that he was substituted early (12th minute) as a precaution and the Frenchman has nothing more than an ankle sprain.
