Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has provided his reaction to the fans following the Gunners’ 1-1 league draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The former Germany international made only his second league appearance of the campaign against the west Midlands outfit and he was able to play through the entire 90 minutes.

Ozil did not contribute directly to the club’s goal tally but he was still effective with his distribution to his teammates and could have bagged an assist on another day.

Following the game, the 31-year-old expressed his happiness after making his Premier League appearance in more than a month, but he was still disappointed with the eventual result at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil’s Tweet:

Arsenal broke the deadlock through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 21st minute following a delightful assist from Alexandre Lacazette, who was initially offered the ball by David Luiz.

Aside from this, the north London side struggled to create any other clear-cut chances on goal and they were eventually made to pay the price with Wolves pouncing on a defensive error to level the scores in the 76th minute.

With the result, the Gunners continue to remain in the fifth spot and they are three points behind the top four. This deficit could extend further, should fourth-placed Leicester City register a positive result at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Arsenal’s next game comes against Portuguese side Vitoria in the Europa League on Wednesday. Nicolas Pepe, who was surprisingly an unused substitute against Wolves, is likely to return to the starting lineup.
