Jenkinson: ‘I’m really proud of the boys’
Carl Jenkinson and Mikel Arteta give their thoughts on Arsenal’s Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.
The Gunners scored early on in Germany through striker Olivier Giroud before Laurent Koscielny headed in a second half corner to leave Arsene Wenger’s side one goal from a heroic European win.
However, the North London giants couldn’t find that elusive third goal and departed the competition on the cruel away goals rule.

Wilshere: “This is my home. I love the club”
Jack Wilshere has reiterated his desire to stay at Arsenal for many years to come and is determined to help the club pick up silverware in the coming seasons.
Since breaking through from the Gunners’ academy system into the first-team fold, Wilshere has been forced to watch on as key performers have headed for the exits – with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie opting to move on.
However, the England starlet recently reaffirmed his commitment to the club by signing a five-and-a-half year contract extension as manager Arsene Wenger looks to build a ‘British core’ around Aaron Ramsey, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.
