Nasri Fit For Fulham Tie, Song and Silvestre Could Play
Midfield maestro Samir Nasri will play against Fulham despite sustaining a thigh injury whilst on International duty for France.
Gooner Talk told you two days ago that Samir Nasri would be fit for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Fulham and the official site have now confirmed it.
New-boy Mikael Silvestre could also be involved while Alex Song has only recently jetted back to London after taking part in the Olympics for Cameroon but he might be drafted in for the trip to Craven Cottage.
“I am not sure about Silvestre as he has a little muscular problem, but Song is [in the squad],” said Wenger at his pre-match press conference.
“Well Cesc is doing very well in training,” said Wenger. ” He won’t be ready for Saturday but has a chance to be ok for Wednesday. We don’t want to gamble on him for one game, we have to be patient.”
“[Abou] Diaby doesn’t look too far away and hopefully there will be good news on [Tomas] Rosicky in the next two weeks.”
The current players out injured are:
Eduardo (leg)
Philippe Senderos (hamstring),
Cesc Fabregas (hamstring),
Abou Diaby (thigh),
Amaury Bischoff (groin),
Tomas Rosicky (hamstring)

I'm very pleased to see Wenger is planning on getting a DM, according to the quotes I saw on Sky. He says one more and he says being cup tied doesn't mean he won't buy the player, so I think he is seriously looking at one of Barry, Alonso or Yaya.
Very good news if we get one of those – to have Silvestre as an extra on top of that would mean a fantastic off season in terms of signings and a squad that is undoubtedly in the running for the title.

Good news about Nasri. He can make the difference while Cesc and Rosicky are out and it's good to have Song available too, hopefully he can built on some impressive performances last season.

Inler would be a marvel, watched a few Udinese games and he really has a presence in the midfield. If its true, and I dont doubt that is, than Im really optimistic about this season. We forget that not only have we got Cesc and Tomas to come back in, but all our players are 1 years more experienced. As long as Chelsea have a blip this year, we'll be challenging. I cant see Man Utd or Liverpool being in it as much this year.

Inler is a busy, rugged and powerful midfielder with a good passing range. He might be known as a defensive midfielder, but he also has an eye for goal just like Flamini showed last season.
In my opinion, he'd have to fight his position out between him and Alex Song but I can see him becoming a regular fixture in the Arsenal starting XI.
Also I'm was shocked about Silvestre joining us and then I hear Kompany is joining City and was disappointed that we hadn't signed him. But Silvestre is I'm assuming costing us about a mil while Kompany would fetch 10-15 mil and let's be honest he'll eventually moved on to a team playing in the Champions League, Maybe us or maybe we'll eventually go for Zapata.

A medical doesn't mean you can't buy a player with a temporary problem, I would assume it's about checking the underlying health and fitness of the individual and using the opportunity to spot any possible long-term weaknesses. Even at £750,000 the club would not take the risk unless the problem was very minor.
He's a way off yet mate, probably a couple of months to get back to full fitness for him.

We have driven the price down by waiting until he played in Europe and using Inler and Kolo (switched to CM) as a ruse.
I personally believe the Barry thing is a cover-up for the Inler signing. At the moment, all I can say is wait and see…

If Arsene does sign one of Inler, Barry, Toure or Alonso, we'll definately be in contention for the PL come May. Even if he signs a cup tied player we should be able to make it out of the group stages of the CL with Denilson or Song and it'll mean that the cup tied player will be rested in champions league games until February.
If he doesn't sign a new DM, I still think Song or Denilson can do a very good job alongside Cesc. My gut tells me we're gonna get Inler though.
I believe of all the cup-tied players we've been linked with only Barry would be available to play in the CL in february as he's only played in the Uefa cap. yaya and alonso and others have all palyed in the CL and are cupt tied for the entire tournament. I think. I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong.

Have we agreed a deal with him coz he would be a brillaint signing, he reminds me of a roy keane hes a got a slight figure but he can tackle i rember the swiss turkey game he was unbelievable he completelty contorlled the midfield by himslef without gelson fernades help. He is some player but the question is can he adapt to the prem it might take him 6 months or so until we seee the best of him

Flamini was so good last year because he did all the work off the ball, when he got the ball he gave it to cesc to do the rest.

With all the recent news about Inler coming to Arsenal sounds great,Ive read what Gooner Chris put about Inler has being busy, rugged and powerful midfielder with a good passing range.In my eyes he sounds like the new 'Paddy Vieira'.Vieira used to break the play up and burst forward with power or would play a ball out.Sounds like a great signing if we get him alongside Cesc.
