Lol Jimmy Bullard and Louis Saha, amusing
Eidur Gudjonsen and Peter Crouch are also strange names to be linked with lol.
ARSENAL aka (ARSHOLES)
TOTAL LOSERS
ARSENE WENGER-FRENCH TWAT
i dont remember us being linked with messi ? also werent we linked with Yoann Gourcuff from AC milan
you forgot torsten frings
if we are linked with move for stephen appiah it can still happen because his on a free transfer any body got a link for stephen appiah transfer to arsenal
cheers steve, added him now.
Didn't AW once say that 200players wanted to join us? What happened to them. Why only sign 3% of them. If i hear him blame injuries or poor ref decision or luck this season i will literately beat the shit out of someone. Seriously, he had months to strengthen our weak as shit squad but didn't. Now we are left with denilson and Diaby to keep the best attackers in the world at bay. UEFA cup, here we come.
You left out Bojan, I remember reading something about us enquiring about him.
Hope we get Appiah, it's all we've got left to hope for.
No matter what happens though we just have to back the team and hope for the best.
you forgot Falcão Garcia (from River Plate), a young boy from Cyprus that i can't remember his name (christopher …) and André Ayew, the son of Abedi Pelé (from Marseille).
200 players, did u want him to sign them all???stu ,200 players in a world with probably 5000 crap players,5000 decent players and maybe 600 good players and 200 top players!
Wow Ranaldinho, Messi? No Way.
WALSHY dont be racist u dumb cunt
Teh young guy from Cyprus is Demetris Christofi from AC Omonia
does any one think its time for Walcot to be a striker
What I do find fascinating though is that every now and then a rumour comes true, just when you had started to dismiss everything.
Who else thought Bischoff was one strange rumour, even though he said Arsene had spoken to him? Then Ramsey went around and I really thought he would sign for Man Utd. Nasri was touch and go for ages, while Silvestre sounded too crazy at the start.
On the other hand, I thought we would sign Annan for a while, and I'm sure we came pretty close to signing Alonso or Inler.
What's with this wait until the last possible second to sign someone? Who exactly are we trying to out fox with this stupid game?
Buying a player is not as simple as: “We want your player, here's a cheque”. In that case, Fabregas would have gone to Real Madrid long time ago. Adebayor would have gone to AC or Barca, etc, etc.
Remember the whole Ronaldinho saga between Man Utd and Barcelona years ago? Also look at Real selling to Man City instead of Chelsea. There is a complex setup that goes on behind the scenes. Dein used to play an important part and when he went to pick up Reyes from (I forget … Seville?), his car was getting pelted by angry fans.
In order to get Alonso, other transfers had to be made. In the same way, Berbatov only ended up going after the Frazer Campbell swap was agreed.
What we should also remember is that we instantly hate a player for leaving the club for other pastures, but when a player like Veloso, Inler or Aquilani pledges their loyalty to their current club, it's now Arsene Wenger's fault?
I should think that there aren't many Gooners out there not dissapointed that we have not landed 1 or 2 of the big names listed above myself being one of them. However we cannot let the lack of big name transfer activity ruin our season as if we can avoid any new injuries and get the ones that are still out fit and playing (Eduardo, Rosicky, are these not big names? ) we can still have a very good season. Nasri may well turn out to be the signing everyone else wishes they had made and as our eminent leader points out big money does not always mean a big player.
Bischoff, Ozyakup and Coquelin weren't really linked with us in the papers.
You are truly kidding me, is this really realistically for real??
Bischoff was linked with us in the French press. Ozyakup was linked with us in the Dutch media and Coquelin's move was on a French football website.
You missed off Vieira! Silly rumours going round after he was spotted at the game on saturday. I was thinking of starting a list myself back in May but couldn't find the motivation to do it.
someones got their knickers in a twist? newcastle fan?
no one have been linked to arsenal so stp writting and mention names wenger and the board of direcors wants to destroy the club
He's a Spud….pissed off at the fact they will be fighting relegation AGAIN!

We don't sign 'big names' because the people who do are idiots. I bet all the Chelsea fans were whooping when they signed Shevchenko. I bet Berbatov doesn't do that well and continues using the excuse that hes not trying. Sagna has gotta be the best signing of last season I'd say, and a straight Nasri and Hleb trade off is already paying out, with Nasri scoring the same amount in 4 games as Hleb did the entire of last season. We do things the subtle way, that is the very essence of Arsenal, to be the secret ninja underdog. If you don't like it, then why do you support Arsenal? It's what we do – go support Chelsea.
one minute people are cryin about letting bentley go and and boooohoooohoooo letting quality young players leave, then they cryin he hasnt signed no one and we have to rely on young players again booooohoooooohoooooo sniff sniff sniff sniffff we sign alonso & let song or denilson go because they cant get a game then it would be boooohooooohooooo look how good song is booooohoooooohooooooo spurs just bought denilson for 15mill booooooohoooooooohooooo ,wenger cant win
I was so disappointed. I can only assume that Wenger tried to buy someone but couldn.t agree on a price. Thats what you get when you leave it last at the last minute. In my opinion or real angry and disappointment should be directed at the board. They aren't of their word it would seem and they've never replaced David Dein, who may be correct in saying we need outside investment (whether it's Kreonke or the Russian). I'm totally convince that if Dein was there this season then we would of signed more players, the evidence is in the fact it took so long to sign Nasri and Wenger himself had to convince Ramsey to join us while he was working at the Euros. He's one man, a manager and he can't be expected to do everything. In saying all this I've still seen enough to suggest that we can challenge on all fronts this season. We've still Fabregas, Van Persie, Adebayor, Nasri to attack teams and Rosicky and Eduardo will be back too. Also we've seen Vela, Djourou, Denilson and glimpses of Song and they will be real important for us this season. 90% of teams in the Premiership
we can beat with these players and with a bit of luck we can beat the other big 3. Anyway thats how I see it.
When are we signing INLER!
city new owners are going to ruin football…ive got nothing against city but this is just getting rediculous..football isnt fair at all anymore. I mean they now reportedly want ronaldo for 135 million along with torres and OUR very own cesc. bastards….there has to be a cap on foreign owners or at least on the amount a club can spend within its own revenues etc..
Its got nothing to do with spending for the sake of it.. When its so obvious to everyone that we need one Cm atleast you'd expect a experienced manger to see that aswell..
Theres no defending wengers or the boards actions this time round!! the squad is weaker then last yr & when you look at the money with bought in & the money weve spent on players its only around £1m.. are we really that broke?
what a let down this transfer window has been,o.k nasri looks good value but we need some experience.I think wenger has made one boob after another since leting edu go.
wenger should throw one last card and bring stephen appiah to arsenal to boost are midfield
wenger should throw one last card and bring stephen appiah to arsenal to boost are midfield
it will be open again in January, not the end of the world
Its not the end of the world, thats right but its a end of a era which could have been sorted out if people used there brains.
hopefully by jan we are all thinking well we didnt actually need to sign any 1, when we are sitting pretty at the top of the league.
Well the way I see it, if Denilson and Diaby do well then yay. If they don't do fantastically fair enough we won't be top by January but we'll still be in the top 4 or just under, therefore the situation would be easily savable with the right buys.Right now what I'm most concerned about is the article on Arsenal.com 'Eboue the pass master' lmao
u forgot danny haynes from ipswich as well
I noticed West ham annouced today two transfers and said something about “international transfer certificates” as the reason for the late annoucement. I guess there is a glimmer
of a chance that perhaps the silence from the Emirates means something is coming … or not.
The list seems a bit made up, I dont remember being linked with kaka, Ronaldinho, Messi, Robinho, Messi, Robben, Gudjonsen.
Thanks for crediting me, but please also credit online Gooner as I wrote it for them
Think maybe you were struggling to get 100 names so added a few on to get a more eye catcing number, but anyway get the point we been linked with a lot of players
Quartz Gooner, you made up a few of the names, admit it
Appiah might be coming so you can only hope. And with his experience and ability, our team would greatly benefit. Plus it would be on a free!
