This line up and bench goes with the saying: “put your money where your mouth is…” Arsene Wenger is surely prioritising this game over the Barcelona game. Arshavin is on the bench. That’s a good call, he can read the game more from the bench and provide a good impact when he comes on. Having Eboue, Nasri, Arshavin, Vela, Eduardo on the bench is a sign of intent. Arsene is prepared to throw everything in to win this game that he does not even give Silvestre a spot on the bench. That’s marvellous. He is useless and will cost us today if he ever came on.
Nice to see Wenger making good calls when it matters. Walcott starting is a very good thing. It will allow Walcott to bed into the game early.
