Sturm Graz v Arsenal — Confirmed
|Following on from the confirmation of Arsenal’s pre-season tour to Austria, it has been announced that Sturm Graz will play a friendly against the Gunners.
The Austrian side revealed that Franco Foda’s men will face the north Londoners between the first and second Bundesliga round of the 2010/2011 season on 21st July.
Sturm, who finished last season in fourth and won the ÖFB Cup (Austrian FA Cup), will also play a friendly against Blackburn Rovers on 10 July. Both matches will take place at the UPC Arena in Graz where England beat Japan 2-1 yesterday.

i want barca for friendly
another boring friendly then
I know it’s off-topic but I sincerely hope we are not on Makoun’s trail. He’s shite and I hope Tottenham sign him up.
For AFC fans of a certain vintage this fixture might stir up memories. I’m pretty sure Sturm Graz were among our victims on the way to our first European trophy, the old Fairs Cup, in 1970. An omen for the new season, perhaps?
It was indeed (http://www.arsenal.com/155/unhoused-import-pages/flashback-arsenal-2-0-sturm-graz) and I hope so mate!
hey goonerblog say that we already agree personal term with hangeland…. any truth. and also wat an ubdateon joe cole. if both sign who knowsss
joe cole will be a flop at ashburton as we will rely on him to be the main man, at best he is a bit part player… Hope we dont get hangeland all he has is hight
cole will not be coming to us,lets just put that one to bed now.
Fantastic another boring ( and judging by the last six seasons ) and totally pointless pre season. When are we going to wise up and actually make some money from pre-season and do a Chav or Manc tour – Oh yes we are way too classy for that and we’d be ripping off the fans blahlah blah………. Well dearest AFC does that any way by charging the highest ticket prices in the world and seem to have a bottomless hole they keep throwing the cash into !! Perhaps paying off this bloody debt a bit quicker would remove any excuses for the board to hide behind ??
Im glad someone else don’t want Hangeland. He’s slow and cumbersome and I think it was his fault Fulham lost in Europa final to Atletico. Subotic anytime please.
line up for next year……………Hart; Sagna, Cahill, TV5, Gibbs; Walcott, Song, Milner, Nasri; RVP, Chamakh
