Frimpong & Wilshere start against Legia Warsaw
Arsene Wenger has opted for Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong in midfield for the Gunners final pre-season friendly against Legia Warsaw.
The duo have impressed throughout pre-season, most notably in the Emirates Cup where particularly Wilshere drew plaudits from many watching Arsenal supporters.
On the goalkeeping front, Lukasz Fabianski is handed a start against his former club while Marouane Chamakh is supported by Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky up top.

Im just praying there’s no injuries to be honest., that’s the most important thing. Then decent performances from certain individuals and a win to lead us into the season on an unbeaten run.

We need a top class goalkeeper, the keepers we have now are a joke. We need a no nonsense, clear the ball, player and ref if need be central defender and we need an enforcer in the centre of the midfield. Relying on Song all season is not going to work.
I now no longer care about constricting the younger players, we need better players and if the young ones can’t match that standard, let them go.

@arseneman: That is not rocket science. Overhyped english youngsters. Prospects is what they are. Grown men and a tight tactical midfield show their weaknesses. Rosicky is also being overrun b/c Wilshere isn’t thinking quickly enough.
They’ll get their in the end. Cesc is light years ahead of Wilshere. Denilson would be better in this match.
i am not surprised at all. we have no defence and no keeper. wenger has really left us down this summer. he has a week to sign some class or we’re heading for a spanking at anfield

f**k me its GROUNDHOG DAY!!! This game is bringing back all those awful memories of last season. NOTHING has changed! Well if Wenger doesn’t buy a new goalkeeper after this showing he never will!. I was actually looking foward to the start of the season but if this lot can make us look this poor what will an average Liverpool side do to us!! We have some serious problems defensively! Get the cheque book out and buy some quality defenders/goalkeeper quick or our season will be over before its even begun.

The second goal was him living up to his nickname flapianski and the first and third was shocking defending due to inabilty to close the player down for the first goal and for the third goal inabilty to clear the ball away.
