Arshavin fit for Liverpool clash
Russia playmaker Andrey Arshavin has declared himself fit to face Liverpool this weekend, as the 28-year old searches for his sixth goal in 3 games against the Reds.
The Arsenal midfielder has a habit of scoring against Sunday’s opponents and boss Arsene Wenger was made to sweat on his fitness after Arshavin sustained a muscle injury last week.
“Yes. I’m ready, but it’s for Arsene Wenger to decide,” Arshavin told his official website.
Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie are also expected to be involved at Anfield in some capacity, with the former arriving back in England from international duty later this evening.

MARK Schwarzer has pleaded with Fulham to release him to English giants Arsenal as the door on his dream move gets nearer to slamming shut.
Fulham have rejected offers from Arsenal, who are desperate to sign Schwarzer to resolve their ‘keeper crisis.
Schwarzer last night returned to London to hold showdown talks with Fulham’s new manager Mark Hughes. It’s believed he’s already submitted a transfer request.
Asked whether he believes the switch to Arsenal will eventuate, Schwarzer didn’t mince his words after the Socceroos’ 2-0 loss to Slovenia.
“I need it to happen,” said Schwarzer, who believes it’s his last chance to join a big club with his 38th birthday looming.
“I’ve had a couple of chats with Mark [Hughes]. It’s delicately poised.
“Who wouldn’t be keen to go to Arsenal? At this stage in my career it’s an amazing opportunity to play at that level and one I really want to take.

So is Wenger going to play Frimpong in the DM position?
Should not have any worries even if Koscielny plays. Liverpool will not have Kuyt and Torres. They are left with Ngog as the only player with EPL experience although i think Javonic (spell check pls!) could be quite dangerous.
I guess the line up will probably be:

But i guess the danger will come from those gaps in midfield where Gerrard and Joe Cole will be very dangerous going forward. I’m more worried for the DM position and Wenger could well deploy Eboue on the right flank instead of Walcott to give the team some defensive measures.
He will play Arshavin and hope he scores 4 again. Nasri should be a sure start for the game.

I think he’s not going to play Almunia. It’s going to be interesting on who will he pick to be the keeper. My guess is either Chesny(hard to spell his name) or Fabiansky.

I think, we’re not going to sign any new players since he promoted 5 youngsters to the 1st team and all of them have their own role to play in case they are injuries. I know they are all inexperienced but heck, the new rules might be the reason why Wenger still haven’t sign any new players.
