Arsenal are used to having most of the ball in Premier League matches, and with the likes of Cesc Fabregas in the team that isn’t a surprise.
However, the Gunners’ would have surprised themselves last night after coming out with an astonishing statistic of 100 percent posession during the closing stages of the win against Everton.
Goals from Andrey Arshavin and Laurent Koscielny gave Arsene Wenger’s men a deserved win at Emirates Stadium.
They travel up North to play Newcastle on Saturday, where Theo Walcott and Alex Song are expected to miss out due to injury.

This is no photoshop job, but the article is incorrect as when it says “last 5 mins” it does not mean the last 5 minutes of the match, but was shown late in the first half.
I was watching this stream and was perplexed when this came up on the screen and remember at the time thinking that there was no way that we had the ball for an entire 5 minutes up to that point.
We’re good, but not that good, which leads me to think, i wonder what is the record for the longest spell of play a team has retained possession, or the most successive passes in a row is?

Nope not photoshop! i’m watching this channel and i love the commentaries and commentators. They are russian and are always fair! And yeah i saw it, 100 % for 5 mins, no photoshop!

I think ref Lee Mason is in a wrong career, his name could have given him more direction on what to do for a living.Poor officiating but the gunners r unstoppable.
I saw this too and I pressed “printscreen” too late and it was gone! I couldn’t believe it either. Suppose we get so used to having the ball that we don’t realize how little of the ball the opposition gets.
it was actually 100 to 0 cuz we had d whole of the ball for the five minute period. thats the Arsenal way. even barca cant do that

im afraid the biggest difference is barca shows less mercy in finishings. we cannot keep wasting chances. but if we get in 4th gear barca may get rattled too.
even barca couldn’t do this. barca would have taken five shots at goal in that time. this is the ultimate proof of arsenal’s uselessness, instead of going for a goal, they were just happy with keeping the ball forever.
