Bendtner reiterates desire to get more playing time
|Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has admitted that he is “happy to be an Arsenal player” but reiterated his desire to get more playing time in the Gunners’ starting eleven.
The 23-year-old’s position at the club has looked increasingly uncertain due to Robin van Persie’s recent return to fitness and the arrival of Moroccan frontman Marouane Chamakh over the summer.
Bendtner told Danish daily Sporten.dk that he is currently happy, but will see what happens with his future in the summer.
“I am happy to be an Arsenal player, but of course I must play more. I think I’m good enough to be in the starting line-up,” Bendtner told Sporten.dk
“I play the rest of the season as an Arsenal player and think about it [his future] this summer. If I’m still happy in the summer, and I am at the moment, we will see what is to happen.”
The news comes just days after Arsenal’s sports psychologist Jacques Crevoisier revealed that Bendtner led the club’s ‘self perceived competence’ tests, which are made-up of 117 questions designed to test players’ self-belief, concentration levels and determination.
Bendtner is expected to start for Denmark against England in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
He can go in the summer weve got too many options. I like Nicklas as a player but i think his time will be up soon.
@flape: we havent developed him to just sell him. forget it
Of course he is never gonna say I am shit and must wait at the end of the line, what do you expect??and i seriously hope they charge that bastard Dowd for match fixing.Any updates?
Sell him then he will get more playing time.Never good enough for us.If only his talent was as big as his head

How is he as a central defender…possibly a vacancy there. LOL
Best news I’ve heard since all day, Mr Djourou appears to be ok I think http://twitter.com/JohanDjourou
Thanks Chris!
He should count his blessings that he is even included in the full squad & learning from such a great manager. How many players leave Arsenal and better themselves? Dig in and prove yourself, try and win the fans round. That would be something new from a pro footballer.
I really like Bendtner because he tries and he is confident… sometimes too overconfident… but we need to get behind him and support him just like we do with nasri and fabregas. He couldve left a long time ago but has stuck with us and is determined to win trophies with this team. What is the difference between him and fabregas, beside fabregas being a better player and the captain? The answer is nothing, both have a lot of desire and commitment to win trohpies.
…how flipping SELFISH! Van persie has been out for frickin ages, hasn’t carried out more than 50% of a season since 2009. And he finally seems like hes bang on for arsenal at the right time and now he’s back on his tracks, bendtner claims he wants more, seriously, have some patience.
I think Bendtner has potential but he really needs to wait his turn. Arsenal options are great at the moment, but the reason we bought chamakh was because we always have slim pickings. remember when arshavin had to go from his favoured Left Wing to go up front because our strikers were injured? it will happen again either this or next season and if we cut our options, we will be down on striker availability. I will say its good to have an eager player and bendtner is very good, particularly in the air, but I wish he’d wait his turn.
