Nasri hints at Gunners stay
Samir Nasri has given the clearest indication yet that he’ll be staying at Arsenal this summer, telling French TV that he ‘believes’ in Arsene Wenger’s project.
The France international, who has enjoyed a fantastic campaign in north London, is out of contract at the end of next season.
With 15 goals to his name this season, Nasri is already the subject of interest from several European powerhouses including Barcelona, but the 23-year-old has told reporters that he’s now ready to ‘sit down and talk it through’ as the season has come to an end.
French journalist Matt Spiro published Nasri’s comments on Twitter, which were originally taken from an interview with Canal Plus.
“Arsene Wenger played a big role in me coming here. I believe in the project. We’ll sit down and talk it through [contract negotiations].”
Meanwhile, while his Arsenal team-mates played out a 2-2 draw at Fulham yesterday, Cesc Fabregas was in Barcelona to watch the Spanish Grand Prix with friends. The Arsenal skipper was given permission by Arsene Wenger to attend, although it has prompted many supporters to question the Spaniard’s committment.

if it is true that wenger has around 40 million pounds to spend this summer…and if any player will get sold from the team , the amount of money we get will be an additional to the 40m..thats mean wenger should do this :
CB- neven subotic from b.dortmound to partner vermalaen ( 6 foot 4 srbian , 23 yars old..world class )..squillaci out ! if not him , then cahill !
Left back : leiton baines to replace clichy… armand traore and clichy out ! if baines not available then sakho from PSG !
Def.medf.- cheikh tiote or scott parker to replace denilson as a cover for alex song… eastmond and denilson out !
striker- rademel falcaue porto or edinson cavani from palermo(now he is in loan in napoli ) to replace bendtner..
winger- ashley young or eden hazard to replace rosicky !
THOSE ARE MUST FOR WENGER TO DO THIS SUMMER… if we can get shay given for 1 season LOAN deal it would be perfect for us without buying him..to give szczesny time to improve and to get more experience !!
almunia , squillaci , clichy , traore , denilson , eastmond , rosicky , bendtner OUT ! if this will happend this summer…i can guarantee all the fans a big trophy to land in the emirates stadium next year IMO at least !! but the problem is that wenger is too stingy and stubborn !!

For me just stopping Denilson, Eastmond, Diaby, Rosicky, Bendtner, Squillaci, Traore and Almunia ever wearing an Arsenal shirt again will improve the squad. Bringing in or back Frimpong, Coquelin, JET, Lansbury, Afobe, Bartley, Botelho and Mannone. That is 8 simple changes and will raise between £35-40m.
If Eboue, Cesc, Nasri and Clichy want out, fine but we want £5m, £45m, £35m and £10m no less. Replace those 3 with Van der Weil, Schneider, Young and Vertonghen.
Then buy a new spine and a captain, Stekenlenberg, Samba (captain) Parker, Benzema

I totally agree with you Arsene Wenger is too stubborn and only see it a certain way and not the way we see it, he just wants to buy young unexperienced players and not spend a lot when he can spend much more for 6 YRS NO TROPHIES and now he only realises it?

Give what Nasri wants, he improve so much this season and he deserves to get a pay rise. Move out overpaid players such as Almunia, Bendtner, Denilson, Rosicky and Squillaci.
i`ve got a short term solution: buffon parker drogba.and if we can get chiellini it will just be perfect the guy got exactly what we missing at the back and that is make the ball his own on set pieces.

Lol this is funny, so many delussional fans thinking that Samba is good enough for the Arsenal, or playing too much football manager thinking we can offload the entire team for a new one…lets keep Nasri, let Fab do what he wants to and make some money off of it…Nasri’s best form all year was when he played in the middle and that is where we need him…replace Cesc with a good winger like Marin, or Marco Reus who’s team was relegated, or even get Afellay out of the deal with Cesc and then we’re fine…no need for 6-7 players coming in.
Thank God Nasri is staying put….Why not let Fab go and build the team on Nasri and wilshere in the middle, then go for Philipe Melo, now that Juventus is out of CMLG to bring more out of song in the midfield.. We need a center back like Vincent Conpany or Subotic…I will love to see Azard and if Mr profesor can get Affelay out of Fab deal, it would be a very good deal again…I just hope this stingi man do something good thid time around..

Nasri is one of the best players in the world.One thing wenger must know is that arsenal demotivates players because they pay them very little as compared to other clubs.If you look yaya toure he played to his best bacause what he earns at the end of the week is very reasonable.Manchester united pay their players very well thus motivating them to give their best to the club.But in arsenal the highly paid player is 90000.If we take a look at what rooney earns a week he can pay 4 arsenal players with the same.If arsenal is to win trophies first pay the players very well to motivate them.The likes of van persie, fabregas,nasri should be paid atleast 150000 because they do great job to the club.If wenger wants nasri to stay pay him well and even fabregas will stay ih his salary is increased to 150000.To arsenal board please let the board control player transfers and salaries because wenger is just demotivating the players.And to solve arsenal problems just sack wenger and bring benitez and arsenal will win something next season, the solution is to tell wenger pack and go.
@Ameed: i agree with everything you say the players you have mentioned would be perfect replacements the serbian defender you speak of is good strong and yes very tall would be solid with thomas verminator as koscielny i really cant see him doing much. but realistcly scottie parker wont be open to being a cover for alex song in all fairness hell want first team action. leighton baines is very good but arsenal will not be able to compete with cities financial cappabiltys they will easily persuade leighton and they have the upper hand even more as they have silverware in their cabinet now.

Some people are suggesting that Wenger should sign around 6 players, dont you think that’s a bit too much in one season? Look at City, more than half of the players they bought over the last 2 seasons didn’t make it and will be sold for a pack of cigarettes.
@arsenalisto.. our first 11 players are very very good…my point was to replace the the bench players with better players..coz those players didnt win us easy games even teams in the first division as well carling cup..like squillaci , denilson , rosicky , bendtner..and these players are : center back , def.medf. , winger , striker !! and that what exactly we need to strengh , in order to have efficient bench as well , not just the first 11..
if we do bring 4 players ( not even half team ) , we will be strong team with strong squad !
CB(squillaci out) , DM(denilson out ) , WINGER(rosicky out ) and STRIKER(bendtner out )..that what we missing at the moment !!
as i said before , if we can bring shay given or sorensen at least for 1 season LOAN DEAL it would be perfect..!!
Nasri…. i cant bear him going to manu…. he is one of my favourite players and being a liverpool fan seeing him going to manu will be horrible…i want him to STAY AT ARSENAL.
