Arsenal have yet to receive a suitable offer for wantaway striker Nicklas Bendtner and with no club currently prepared to stump up the Gunners’ £12million asking price, a loan spell looks increasingly likely.
The future of the 23-year-old has been of some speculation in recent months, due to a lack of playing time and being played out of position when given a rare opportunity.
Other reports have suggested that Bendtner could be used as a makeweight in a deal for Bolton defender Gary Cahill, while the Dane himself has rejected offers from Italy and Germany.
Bendtner still has three years left on his current contract at Arsenal, though it is expected that Arsene Wenger will not stand in the player’s way if a suitable offer is received.
Meanwhile, Gooner Talk will have an exclusive interview with Arsenal Supporters’ Trust chief Tim Payton tomorrow afternoon. Tim will be addressing all the big issues from Arsenal’s ownership, the future of Cesc Fabregas, to the transfer market and much, much more. Don’t miss it.
