Eboue set for £3.5million Galatasaray transfer
Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue is expected to finalise a £3.5million transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray next week, after not travelling with the 19-man Gunners’ squad to Portugal for tomorrow’s pre-season friendly against Benfica.
The 28-year-old Ivorian started just eight Premier League matches last term and does not feature in Wenger’s plans for the new season. Eboue, who is a popular figure within the club, would have likely found himself as third choice right-back for the new season after the summer signing of youngster Carl Jenkinson.
We told you last week that talks between Eboue and Gala had stalled after he rejected the contract terms offered to him, however his representatives have negotiated an improved deal which is likely to be accepted by the former Beveren player.
Meanwhile, Danish frontman Nicklas Bendtner is in talks with an unnamed European club over a permanent move, with Sky Sports suggesting that Stoke City have expressed their interest in the 23-year-old.
Manuel Almunia is the third player likely to head out of the Emirates Stadium exit door. Spanish clubs Atlético Madrid and Malaga have made tentative enquiries for the goalkeeper, although he could be made to play in the Reserves next season if no clubs make a suitable offer.

i really dont want eboue to leave, especially now when walcott is injured, nasri situation not clear. we need someone who can be cover at the wings. this makes me sad.
however, i`ve got a solution if we agree to sell fabre AND nasri, and the solution name is SHINJI KAGAWA. really reminds me of nasri, very good in attack, i think he is perfect for us. with the money from fabre and nasri , around 60 mills we might get mata(25), kagawa(10) and cahill(15) and yet 15 mills left! 😀
Mr arsenal what century are you from? you cant just tear up a contract unless both parties agree. would you tear up something worth £5m a year?

Eboue has been on the downhill train since 2006-2007 season, arsenal could also do good with the cash. Hopefully they spend it on another player instead of banking it. On the other hand arsenal needs depth in they squad,depth that for the last 6 trophy less season has plagued them.. yes Eboue is on the down hill train but still offers pace on the pitch and make up numbers when legs get heavy and injures kick in.
take the 3.5 he aint even worth it but its good money

3) should play squill in first eleven, i mean BLOCKING(for the second goal), POSITIONING, SPEED, TACKLING, TIMING, he`s got everything(we will be relegated if he`s our first choice)
4) vermaelen DEFINITELY should be made our captain
5) miyachi should be sent on loan
6) fabianski is NOT going to challenge for no.1 shirt
7) with the second half display, i have doubt if we`ll win a europa league next season

how can you do this to almunia? he is not such evil guy pls relax and send him home to spain instead, no reserves. almunia won cross bar challenge that is talent. eboue will be missed but no mor clowning around is good way to be start focus no monkey business ppl. now monkey is djorue i worry he just to be talkshow host. he + squilaci means no clean sheet the bookie also know this, lets be careful now dont become clowns
