"I'll be presented as a Galatasaray player by Thursday", claims Eboue

Defender Emmanuel Eboue has revealed that his move to Turkish side Galatasaray will be completed shortly, with the Ivorian expected to be officially presented on Thursday.

The 28-year-old, who had not been given a squad number ahead of the new season, has been in talks with Galatasaray officials for over a month with Arsenal accepting a £3.5million fee towards the end of July.

Eboue told Radio Abidjan this morning that the deal would have been done sooner if it wasn’t for the match-fixing problems that currently surround Turkish football.

Ivory Coast international Eboue has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2006, making a total of 214 appearances during his five-year stay in north London.

Tweeted from Eboue as well:

Goodbye@cesc4official, we wud miss&remember u. you left in a dignifying way. not like some ppl are about to do. not 2 mention thier NAS name

Hmmm I remember seeing a tweet from frimpong saying that moeny was the root of all evil or something like that. looks like Nasri leaving may lift a couple spirits?

Oh no. If true it is a disaster for Arsenal. We will have to sign Lenny Henry as the resident comedian.

Thank fuck for that, what a liability with a cheaters instinct and the only guy on planet earth who would have been dumb enough to concede a penalty 12 minutes into stoppage time, with the ball darting away from the danger zone and less than 2 seconds to even have the chance to hook it back in! Great stamp on Terry though..

should keep him as a decent back up and always gets behind the team how many times have u seen players walking off at half time and eboue comes back out from the tunnell to give them all a well done or a pat on the back.

just wish eboue wasnt treated the way he was by certain fans especially that one horriblle game

good luck eboue

There’s transfer gossip – who knows how true – that Arsenal is lining up Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega, presumably as Bendtner’s replacement. And, as a result, Wigan’s trying to get West Brom’s Peter Odemwingie. Is it just me or do others prefer Odemwingie to Rodallega? Scored more goals last season, 15, than Rodallega and his playing style seems much more lively and involved in the build-up. Rodallega goes missing for much of the match and pops up with the odd goal. Is it only the fact that Odemwingie is Nigerian – and therefore going to the ACN – that would make… Read more »

@Kevin:

Szczesny Koscielny and Vermaelen had a right game i think koscielny as come a long way and he made a right saving tackle in that game we should have Arshavin played a right ball over top for rvp who should have done better Gervinho should of add a pen to song need to cool down and we all need to get behind this young time

I don’t care even if we finish 3rd and get no trophy then it’s time for Arsene Wenger to leave. It would mean from 2006-2012 we would have seen zero improvement.

Also I don’t have any problem in him buying Chamberlin,Campbell as long as he buys experienced players not just kids there has to at least be a mix.
