Gunners' winning run continues – Arsenal 3-0 West Brom

Arsenal cruised to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over West Brom thanks to goals from Robin van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen and Mikel Arteta.

Arsene Wenger’s side continued their superb winning run in a dominant display at Emirates Stadium, which saw Arsenal skipper van Persie run the show yet again.

In a first half dominated by the home side, van Persie netted the opener after 21 minutes from close range with help from Theo Walcott, whose own shot had been saved by Ben Foster.

Dutch frontman van Persie later set up Thomas Vermaelen – who recently signed a long-term contract with the club – to give the Gunners a two-goal advantage going into half time.

van Persie also laid the groundwork for his side’s third goal, which Mikel Arteta struck from inside the box in the 73rd minute.

imo the best performance from the team this season. from the first to the 90th minute we looked solid in the back, calm in attack, knew exactly what was expected and delivered. just show how much it means for the whole team when vermaelen and van persie are present down the pitch! great win, a perfect birthday gift for me! thank you gooners!
